Maybe I'm alone in this, but I always thought Cha-Cha was upset about more than just him leaving their work. When they are in the woods and he is talking about birds mating for life he says 'pretty sure they have it figured out' and she says 'and what's that' and he says 'a simple life with a partner'. She gets a look on her face when he says that and lowers her gun after he says 'sometimes what you want is right in front of you. By the time you realize it, it's too late.' I think when he says all that she thought he was talking about her. Added to that is when they get back to the hotel he then asks if she's hungry and that he'll get them food. She could be linking that with what he said about the birds, that the male provides food for his partner and that's its part of the mating ritual. When she sees him with someone else I feel like she feels betrayed on multiple levels. Which is why she is so angry and calling Agnes horrible names. Again I could be alone in this, its just what I've always felt whenever I watched it.

2021-10-22 13:32:21 +0000 UTCYeah, I definitely can understand where he was coming from, but I also think it's not only unfair to Vanya but also a big mistake even safety-wise. It does fit right in with his character though, and it demonstrates the conflict and potential danger that arrives when a parent raises a child with control over love... just such a good episode

2021-10-21 22:53:40 +0000 UTCGreat episode and great reaction you can kind of see why the dad wanted Vanya to believe she was ordinary as a kid like you said her power seems to be attached to her emotions which she doesn't seem to be able to control which could be very dangerous especially as her power is so strong.
