Tbh the fandom always assumed he can do it after the Buu arc but because of the drawbacks SSJ3 has it's not worth it unless absolutely necessary. Vegeta has gone SSJ3 in the games tho but the hairstyle was always based more on Goku's while this one is more spiked up. Also next week there is a break so no episode until January 10th. And also this season is confirmed to be 20 episodes long in total. So we got 8 episodes left!
