I think Jin-Ah's friend's comment was more of an aside rather than a comment to Jin-Ah herself. I think they put that in there for context for the viewer. Nothing wrong with pausing to interact with viewers, or adding something to the reaction. Better that than talking over the anime (or w/e you're watching at the time).

2024-01-15 16:29:57 +0000 UTCI actually think the pacing is good, especially considering a balance between an audience who is intimately familiar with the world as well as those who arent. While it's definitely not how things actually measure out, they essentially completed the first "volume" of the manhwa in two episodes (250 pages). So 12 episodes at that pace is 6 volumes, which is still a ton of the series. I think the next few episodes will be key because there are multiple events they can either milk or breeze through.

2024-01-14 00:30:56 +0000 UTCif this was 24 ep like i thought it was supposed to be i wouldnt mind the pace. but for a 12 ep i do think they are going a little slow. otherwise the rest of the adaptation is a 10/10. i think if this was a 48 min ep 1 with these two eps it would have been perfect. A1 is absolutely killing it and the gore is intense
