Saturday Update!

So, as I'm sure you guys have heard, Steam approved the store page for YKMET and we're still waiting for the actual app approval.

I'm feeling fairly hopeful that we'll get the App approval soon as well, since the new tester appears to be doing their job properly so far. Pretty much all of the rejections I'd gotten to this point were also for store page stuff [ the content survey, descriptions, etc ] Except for the first rejection that mentioned not being able to find death tokens but... they are definitely in the game and pretty easy to find [ that first rejection was really vague and stupid IMO ]

So, as of right now, the game page is live and people can wishlist it, but I still can't start beta testing until the app is also approved. I will keep everyone updated of course. As soon as I get approval I'll set a date very quickly to begin beta testing.

In other news, I did a little more back-and-forth design emails with the plushie guys. I got a little stressed because they apparently just went ahead and bought fabrics for the clothing without asking me and I had to correct them on both the pants and shirt 😩 but I assume they listened because I haven't gotten another email for a couple days.

These are the fabrics I told them to use instead:

We had to hash out some minor adjustments [ like forgetting his shoulder strap things on his shirt because the plushie doesnt really have shoulders LMAO ] but overall things are going smooth. I was pretty thrilled when they suggested actual buttons for the shirt, I was thinking we'd just print those :D I feel like the plushie is working its way towards being as high quality as I want it to be.

Also in merch news, I spent a fair bit of last week drawing the designs for acrylic standees. I'm thinking of doing full-bleed standees [ https://vograce.com/products/custom-full-bleed-acrylic-standees ] the no-border look seems fancy to me, and my designs having sharp edges isn't really a problem for something that sits on a shelf [ unlike keychains ].

I think I'll make the Strade standee 20mm tall [ kinda big for a standee but people in the stream chat seemed to want this size ] and the ren standee would be proportionate so maybe like 18mm. Then I think the game logo [ 10x10mm ] for the base to stand on.

I don't know what I'll price them as for now, but I've promised people it won't be over $20CAD. I haven't bought them yet because I have a big tax payment coming out on the 15th and I need to make sure that goes through before I get silly with the merch again LMAO

Next week [ if approval doesn't happen ] I'll be working on designs for keychains. I don't have much for those yet but I have a very basic design plan:

But of course I'm hoping we get approval soon so I can switch to beta testing ASAP.
