Saturday Update!

Another week has come and gone, and I'm still tickin. I struggled a bit as usual and had to take more breaks, but I managed to stay above quota- and for December I'm gonna call that a win.
I finished up the last couple of pics from that Strade set last week and then moved on to two other sets- a short set of a simple background and a larger set of Ren stuff :)
I didn't finish the Ren set [ 4 left ] so you'll be seeing him again next week, then basically all that's left is 6 background images [ some unique some variants ], a couple of blood splatter effects I need to draw [ currently they're just a slapped in photoshop brush, which is fine for minor effects but the major ones need to be replaced ], 3 CGs which only feature someone's hands, and 15 'unique' CGs that don't have expression variants.
The backgrounds and unique CGs may take longer than my usual pace due to being more complicated but I'll chew through them all the same.
Anyway, here's a couple of the pics!

I have been busy job hunting recently, but Gato I'll always happily come here to see updates, I'm so excited for this game. I trust that this will be fire, especially bc I can tell even with flickery gifs and such, that this project is full of your love for the characters that had given you so many opportunities and even more skills to use whenever you can. I feel like these remakes will always be a good sign of how far you've come from that silly little joke game to now a full-fledged visual novel all about this character you've been able to work on, evolve, and create into the most perfect version in your brain.

Like theotically if we're in the basement could we throw the door open and smash someone's face in and escape? Or does it open toward us and we could fall down the stairs if startled? I'm sad to hear that the union workers weren't able to change corporates minds. It's insane to me that a government official can order the workers back to work but won't order the company to give them better wages and conditions? If you'd like some good news our strikers here in Aus that I mentioned last week were successful in some of their negotiations and have returned to work. I'm glad they were able to affect change. Keep up the good work Gato 💜

Or maybe Ren being startled while trying to cut his own hair? My goal with the hairstyle is to just convey a sense that Ren is always tormented, and that even something as simple as personal grooming is disrupted.
