Saturday Update!
Added 2019-10-19 16:21:30 +0000 UTCIt has been a sickly, yet somehow still productive week!
I started the week off with a pinched nerve in my back that healed pretty quick. Now I appear to be some kind of ill due to a flu shot I got a couple days ago, which is weird but I think it shouldn't last long or be too harsh since it's not the real flu.
But more importantly! It hasn't gotten in the way of my work XD
I managed to complete the editing for Mason's path! -kazoo noise- His path is now 100% ready for testers.
Alpha testers will have to deal with my abysmally crappy placeholder art:

But since there are named images where they need to be [ and in some cases, animated how I want them to be ], importing the completed art will be as easy as replacing the placeholder image files.
Mason's path gave me a few extra bumps in the road since it was coded the most poorly [ as I did it first ] and there were a lot of problems to fix. I also rewrote a few chunks I wasn't happy with [ And I like them a lot more now! ].
I'm hoping Celia's path will go a bit more smoothly, but I also remember struggling a lot with her writing and programming so I'm not getting my hopes too high XD The important thing is that I take my time and manage to get it smooth and fun to play.
I'll be the first to admit that I greatly underestimated the work that goes into editing. I never really did a proper editing pass with the BTD games- I kind of just did all the art and writing in one go as I moved through the story.
It sometimes makes me feel discouraged to be taking so much longer with this project, but I have to remember that if I want to make something more professional, I'll need to put in the hours. And I am prepared to do that!!
Anyways, I am rambling- sorry!
I want to thank everyone SO MUCH for supporting me so far in this. And for your patience with my work. I feel so happy and lucky to be able to work for you guys- THANK YOU!! <3
Comments
I've heard people say that before and seen people comment that sort of thing on other people's posted code. But when I ask how to do it better, no one ever has an answer for me...? I never had a teacher for this stuff so I guess I'll never know LMAO

2019-10-19 17:34:23 +0000 UTCYou got this Gato! Don't give up! On a side note: I looked at the snippet of code you once posted and literally just said "Oh....Oh I don't like this..... My Java Teacher would hate this lack of notes and so many 'if' statements... Gato no, why this???" All in good fun though!
