[Marvel : Spoiling Spider-man] Chapter 31 - 35

[Otto grabbed Peter and slammed him against the outer wall of the building. Debris rained down, narrowly missing a terrified couple who ran for cover. On the street below, pedestrians scrambled to avoid the falling rubble, but some cars were caught in the chaos, their roofs and windshields shattered.]
[After taking a few hits, Peter recovered and dodged Otto’s next mechanical arm attack. He quickly shot out webbing, blinding Otto by covering his face, then yanked him forward and landed a solid punch, sending Otto reeling backward.]
[Aunt May kept shouting "Help!" Peter looked back at her and quickly crawled towards her, but Otto's tentacles suddenly pushed Peter against the wall. Peter only had time to shout "Hold on!" before Otto threw him to the other side.]
[The two grappled along the wall, Peter gripping Otto tightly while delivering a flurry of punches. They tumbled mid-air, still locked in combat, before Otto managed to free himself and used a tentacle to launch Peter through the window of a nearby building.]
[Aunt May’s grip on her umbrella began to slip as her strength waned. Just as her hand gave out, she landed on the base of the statue she had been dangling from. Catching her breath, she looked up at the statue of the Virgin Mary and whispered, "Thank you." But her relief was short-lived as Otto’s tentacle snatched her up once more.]
["You ruined my plan last time!" Otto snarled, glaring at Peter. "Now, you’ll watch her die with that guilt on your conscience!"]
"Otto is gone," Tony muttered, watching the Screen. "The brilliant scientist who wanted to benefit the world has turned into a man consumed by obsession."
Nick Fury glanced at Tony. "If you were there, could you stop this? Could you help someone in his condition?"
Tony thought for a moment, swirling the drink in his glass. "Theoretically, yes. If we reinstall a functioning inhibitor chip, it could sever the mechanical arms’ control over his mind. But it’d need proper protection, unlike the fragile version Otto used."
Tony drank the wine in his glass and picked up the glass that Nick Fury hadn't drunk.
[On the Screen, Peter shot a web to the wall and launched himself at Otto. Otto sneered, "Come on!" One of his tentacles suddenly extended, revealing a sharp spike aimed at Peter. Aunt May, realizing Otto’s intent, shouted, "Shameless!" and swung her umbrella, hitting Otto squarely on the head.]
[The unexpected blow caused Otto to lose control, giving Peter just enough time to intercept the spike with his webbing. Peter yanked the tentacle aside, but the pain caused Otto to lose his balance. As Otto stumbled, his tentacles flung Aunt May away to stabilize himself.]
[Aunt May screamed as she plummeted toward the street below. Peter leapt after her, shooting a web to close the distance. He caught her mid-air and secured her with another web, swinging them both to safety.]
[Meanwhile, the police, now unencumbered by a hostage, opened fire on Otto. But the distance was too great, and their shots merely outlined his body in missed bullets. Otto retreated with the stolen money, vanishing into another building.]
[Peter carried Aunt May down to the street. "It’s safe now," he reassured her gently.
Aunt May looked at him with gratitude. "Thank you, Spider-Man! I don’t know what would have happened without you."
[A small crowd of onlookers gathered, cheering for Spider-Man. Peter turned to Aunt May and said, "We beat him."
Aunt May straightened proudly. "No, I beat him!" she declared, brandishing her umbrella.
Peter smiled under his mask, then shot a web and swung away. A group of women chased after him, shouting, "Take me, Spider-Man! Take me!" He ignored them, disappearing between the city’s towering buildings.]
"You've done a great job, May!" Uncle Ben laughed. If Aunt May hadn't given Otto a heavy blow at the last moment, Peter might have been in danger.
"I'm glad I can help Peter!" Aunt May also burst into laughter.
. . . . . .
[At the planetarium party that evening, the venue buzzed with chatter. Guests mingled, sipping champagne and nibbling on hors d'oeuvres. Peter was there, trying to grab a snack, but someone took the last one right as he reached for it. He smiled helplessly and moved on.]
[Spotting an elderly couple, Peter raised his camera to take a photo but realized the lens cap was still on. By the time he removed it, the couple had already been whisked away by a waiter.]
[At the bar, Harry was nursing a drink. When the bartender poured a new glass of champagne, Harry grabbed it with a slurred, "Don’t take it!" In his haste, he bumped the first glass, spilling it. The bartender sighed and poured another.]
[Peter approached, placing a hand on Harry’s shoulder. "Don’t overdo it, Harry."
Harry turned to him with bloodshot eyes. "Why not? This is a party, isn’t it? And when you put your hopes on a lunatic, only for it all to come crashing down, wouldn’t you drink too?"
"Harry, not tonight," Peter said gently, trying to calm him.
"Don’t mention your bug friend to me, Parker," Harry growled, his voice icy. "Any time, 24 hours a day, until I find him."
[Their tense exchange was interrupted by J. Jonah Jameson’s voice. "Peter! Peter! Peter! Are you deaf? I’ve called you twice!" Jameson stormed over, grabbed Peter by the arm, and dragged him away.]
[Harry watched Peter leave, his gaze dark and brooding. He downed the champagne in one gulp.]
[Jameson shoved Peter toward a cluster of people. "Did I pay you to taste champagne? Take a picture of my wife with the minister!"
[Jameson’s wife smiled warmly at Peter. "Nice tie!" Peter returned the smile and snapped a photo of her, followed by one of her and the minister.]
[When Jameson spotted the mayor, he barked, "Get a shot of the mayor and his girlfriend!" The mayor’s face turned crimson, his wife glaring daggers. Realizing his gaffe, Jameson stammered, "I mean, his wife! Take the picture, Parker!" Peter quickly obliged.]
Chapter 32 Ability Disappeared
[At this time, an MC stood on the stage, "Ladies and gentlemen, the New York Library of Natural Sciences Committee is honoured to introduce this distinguished guest, the first person to play football on the moon."]
[Her words made everyone laugh, "Please welcome the handsome, elegant, brave and fearless Colonel John Jameson!"]
[As the music started, everyone applauded. Amid the applause, John walked out holding Mary Jane's hand. The moment Peter turned around and saw Mary Jane, the smile on his face immediately disappeared, and he stared at her blankly.]
[Mary Jane noticed Peter amidst the crowd. Their eyes met briefly before she looked away, leaving Peter to wrestle with his emotions.]
[In the second half of the party, Peter pushed the door open and walked out. He saw that there was still a snack left, so he wanted to get it, but someone else got there first.]
[Then he saw Mary Jane, who was alone not far away. Peter came behind Mary Jane and greeted her. Peter wanted to explain and apologize to Mary Jane, but Mary Jane said she had heard enough!]
[Mary Jane looked at Peter painfully, "I can't always think about you, it's too painful!"]
[Peter tried to recite a poem, hoping to convey his feelings. But Mary Jane, weary of his excuses, interrupted him. "Stop. Just stop," she said.
Flustered, Peter changed the subject. "Can I get you something to drink?"
Mary Jane shook her head. "I came with John. He’ll get it for me."
"John," Peter muttered under his breath.]
[Mary Jane’s tone grew sharp. "By the way, John has seen my performance five times, Harry has seen it twice, Aunt May has seen it once Even my sick mother managed to come. My father begged backstage to buy a ticket."]
[Her voice broke as she continued. "But you—my best friend, the person who’s supposed to care about me the most—couldn’t even show up on time. All I’ve ever seen is an empty seat." With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Peter speechless.]
[Peter stood rooted in place, guilt and heartbreak etched across his face. Spotting a waiter carrying a tray of wine glasses, he grabbed one, only to discover it was empty. He set it down with a bitter laugh.]
"Oh... this again! It seems to be foreshadowing that Peter Parker's life is always unhappy. He wants something but never gets it." Tony sighed as he watched Peter trying to get food and drinks again and again but always got nothing.
[Back at the party, Peter stood awkwardly among the crowd, lost in thought. Harry, drunk and emotional, stumbled toward him.]
["You make me so angry!" Harry slurred. "All you care about is Spider-Man. You don’t give a damn about your best friend! He killed my father, and you defend him because you rely on him to make money!"]
["Harry, calm down," Peter pleaded, but Harry was inconsolable.]
[Harry jabbed a finger at Peter’s chest. "You took MJ from me. You took my father’s love. You stood by while that monster killed him. Didn’t you?!"]
[Before Peter could respond, Harry slapped him hard across the face. "Admit it!" he shouted, slapping him again.]
[Peter stood stunned, his cheek stinging, but he didn’t retaliate. Harry’s anger ebbed as he saw the hurt in Peter’s eyes. Without another word, he turned and walked away.]
"Oh! Harry! How could he do this..." Aunt May looked at Peter who was beaten and felt very sad for him. No one knew the difficulties Peter Parker was facing.
"Sorry, Pete!" Harry looked at what he had done and apologized to Peter. Peter hurriedly said, "It's okay, I understand. We are brothers, aren't we?" Peter's smile made Harry hug him.
"You two are really good brothers, don't you think, Otto?" Rose said to Otto with a smile.
"Yes... You have a really good relationship. Don't let misunderstandings ruin your relationship, Peter." With Peter's encouragement, Otto cheered up and decided to prove himself and make up for his mistakes on the screen.
[The two's attracted the attention of some people around them. After Harry left, Peter became more depressed. At this time, John began to introduce Mary Jane to the audience.]
[“Ladies and gentlemen! I am pleased to announce that the beautiful Ms. Mary Jane Watson has accepted my marriage proposal!”]
[Mary Jane was very happy that John announced their relationship at the party, and she stood on the stage with John. Peter, on the other hand, seemed dazed and confused.]
["Peter! Wake up!" Jameson barked from across the room. "Take the picture!"
Startled, Peter snapped to attention, raising his camera to capture the moment.]
[Later that night, Peter swung through the city, his Spider-Man suit blending into the shadows of the towering buildings. But when he tried to shoot his web, nothing happened. "No, no, no!" he cried, panic rising.
Before he could react, he plummeted, crashing painfully onto the edge of a metal trash can. The impact left him gasping for air.]
"It hurts me just looking at it! Not to mention him!" Rhodes also came to Tony's house, and soon after he entered the house, he saw Peter falling on the trash can.
This is different from the last time when it fell on the exhaust pipe. This time it was hit by the edge of the trash can.
[Peter pulled off his mask, his breaths shallow. He tried again to shoot his web, but his wrists remained useless. "What’s happening to me?" he whispered, staring at his trembling hands.]
[Determined to test his abilities, Peter approached a nearby wall. He pressed his palms to the surface and began climbing, but halfway up, his grip faltered. He slid back down, barely managing to catch himself before landing in a heap.]
[As he lay beside the trash can, he noticed a bundle of newspapers. Picking one up, he realized his vision was blurry—his myopia had returned. He crumpled the paper in his hands, the reality of his failing powers sinking in.]
"His abilities, responsibilities, and ideals conflict with his family, friendship, and love. His superpowers have made his life a mess. In his heart, he no longer wishes he had superpowers, so his superpowers have become ineffective. right?"
Tony looked at Peter's distraught look and listened to Nick Fury.
Nick Fury nodded. "Our analysts think the same. Until Peter resolves the conflict within himself, his powers might not return."After summarizing it, Tony nodded in agreement.
"Peter, I guess I know the reason." Rose analyzed the possible reasons through Peter's expression and inner changes, and told Peter. Peter seemed to be thinking about something.
Chapter 33: Becoming Peter Parker Again
[The scene shifted to Doctor Octopus, now secluded in an abandoned house. Using the stolen money, he meticulously assembled equipment for his second experiment. He lit a cigar, holding it between his lips as one of his mechanical arms ignited it for him.]
[Meanwhile, Peter visited the hospital, convinced his problems were physical. But after several tests, the doctor reassured him, "Physically, you’re fine. In my opinion, your issue is here." The doctor tapped his temple.]
[Peter reflected silently as the doctor added, "You’ve mentioned insomnia, grief, and nightmares. It’s all connected."
Peter hesitated before speaking. "I had a dream... I was Spider-Man. I lost my abilities, couldn’t shoot webs, and kept falling when I climbed walls."
The doctor removed his glasses, his expression thoughtful. "So, you’re Spider-Man."
Peter panicked. "No, no! It was a dream! Just a dream," he insisted. Then, attempting to deflect suspicion, he added, "Actually, it wasn’t my dream—it was a friend’s."
The doctor smirked knowingly. "A friend’s dream, huh?" He sat beside Peter, leaning in. "What’s your friend like? Why is he climbing walls? How does he see himself?"
Peter sighed. "That’s the problem—he doesn’t know."
The doctor’s tone softened. "If he doesn’t know who he is, he’ll lose himself completely. That’s the worst thing anyone can do."
The words struck a chord in Peter.
"Listen," the doctor continued, "maybe you’re not destined to be Spider-Man, swinging across the city. Maybe that’s why you keep falling. But ultimately, it’s your choice, Peter."
Peter nodded slowly, the weight of the statement sinking in. "I can choose..." he murmured, as the doctor watched him thoughtfully.]
"Ah, that doctor must have known Peter's identity. He realized what Peter Parker's problem was, so he advised Peter to choose his own path."
Several people gathered in front of the bar in Tony's house. Tony clinked his glasses with Rhodes and said.
"Anyone who is not a fool knows that his friend is himself. " Rhodes complained about Peter's poor cover-up.
Tony burst into laughter when he heard this.
[Peter returned home, lying on the bed, thinking about the doctor's words as the storm and thunder roared outside the window.]
[Uncle Ben's words echoed in his heart, and he seemed to dream that Uncle Ben was talking to him again. "Your thoughts, Peter, make me sad."]
[“Don’t you understand? I’m in love with Mary Jane.”]
[“Peter, we have always talked about integrity, fairness, and justice. I have always hoped that you can bravely bring these dreams to the world.”]
[In the dream, Peter looked at Uncle Ben and said, "I can't live in your dream anymore. I want my own life."]
[“God has given you extraordinary talents, Peter. With great power comes great responsibility. Hold my hand, kid!” Ben hoped that Peter would agree to his request, but Peter refused with tears in his eyes.]
[“I’m just Peter Parker. I’m no longer... Spider-Man. No longer...” Returning to reality, Peter muttered to himself: “No longer...”]
[On a rainy night with thunder and lightning, Peter came to a familiar alley, looked at the Spider suit in his hand, hesitated for a while, then resolutely threw it into the trash can and turned away. ]
"Alas... he finally chose this path. What about you, Tony?" Rhodes drank another glass of wine and looked at Tony with a little drunkenness.
"Me? I am Iron Man!" Tony was obviously drunk as well. He replied drunkenly, then passed out at the bar. Nick Fury left.
[Peter, who had put aside his identity as Spider-Man, was obviously more relaxed and even walked with a smile on his face, but the sudden fall made him feel a little embarrassed.]
Tony, who had been drunk all night, was woken up by Jarvis, and the screen started playing again. Seeing Peter's failed attempt to be cool, Tony, who was still gargling, almost burst out laughing.
[Peter, who almost fell, took out his glasses and put them on. This time he didn't have to worry about falling. He walked on the road in high spirits.]
[Peter returned to his rental house, tinkering with his old scooter. But in his excitement, he forgot to secure a wheel. It rolled off the balcony, crashing into a glass window below.
"Idiot!!!" his man shouted from the street. Peter half-knelt in apology, wincing as he rubbed the back of his neck.]
"Hahaha! You're so clumsy, Pete!"
Harry laughed. With the salary from the police, Peter's life is much better now. He doesn't have to go out to work anymore. However, he probably won't be able to be with Harry when school starts.
[Peter bought a hot dog from a roadside stand. As soon as he walked to the side of the road, he saw several police cars whizzing by and several policemen running. Peter turned his head to look in the direction of the pursuit. Thinking that he was no longer Spider-Man, he took a big bite of the hot dog and turned around. ]
[Peter was able to attend Connors's classes on time, listened carefully and took notes, and when Connors asked questions, he raised his hand to answer them.]
[After class, Connors told Peter that he was very satisfied with his performance today and encouraged him to keep up the good work. Peter smiled after being encouraged, and it was obvious that he was happy from the bottom of his heart.]
[At night, in the theater, Peter arrived at Mary Jane's stage play for the first time as scheduled. Mary Jane was speaking her lines on the stage when she suddenly saw Peter sitting in her seat. She was stunned for a moment and even forgot her lines for a moment.]
[The director backstage tried desperately to remind her in a low voice, "I'm very happy!" Mary Jane finally came to her senses and took over the actor's lines. The director backstage finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw this.]
[And as it happens, the actor's lines are exactly what Peter wanted to say.]
[After the performance, Peter and Mary Jane walked side by side. Peter looked at Mary Jane and said, "You performed very well! This scene was also very good."]
[“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” Mary Jane looked at Peter in confusion. Peter explained, “I was afraid you would tell me not to come.” Mary Jane turned her head away embarrassedly.]
[Then he turned around and looked at Peter Parker carefully, and was very surprised by Peter's transformation, "You seem to have changed a lot."]
[Peter looked down at himself and said with a smile: "I have polished my shoes, ironed my pants, and done my homework. I am trying to be better." Mary Jane was very happy with Peter's transformation, but it was too late. ]
Chapter 34: Abandoned Spider Suit
[Peter walked alongside Mary Jane, the weight of their conversation pulling him down. He mustered the courage to speak, "How about some fried noodles? Just like old times." Mary Jane stopped, her face softening for a moment before she sighed deeply. "Peter, I'm getting married." ]
[Peter froze, his heart dropping, but he forced a smile. "I’ve always imagined you getting married on a mountain top." His attempt at humor fell flat. Mary Jane turned to him, her voice edged with exasperation. "And the groom?" she asked pointedly.
Peter looked at her, his smile fading. "You haven’t picked one yet."]
[Mary Jane's gaze hardened. "Do you think that just by showing up at my performance, you can make me regret my engagement?"]
[Peter hopes to win back Mary Jane, "You said you loved me, let's be together like before. I used to think there were a lot of things I needed to do, but now I don't."]
[Mary Jane said regretfully: "It's too late!"
"Think about it for a while, okay?"
"Think about what?"
"Let's continue our relationship!"]
["Where do we start? We were never meant to be together! How can we continue our relationship if we didn't have any previous relationship? Peter!" Mary Jane was a little annoyed by Peter's fantasy.]
[“It’s not that simple.” ]
[“Of course you think so, you always complicate things!”]
[“You don’t understand!” Mary Jane sighed, and Peter tried to convince her. “I’m no longer an empty chair. I’m not the same as before. If you punch me, I’ll bleed!”]
[Peter looked at Mary Jane with hope, while Mary Jane looked helpless. She said goodbye to Peter and told him that she would hold the wedding in the church. Before leaving, she looked at Peter and said, "You have indeed changed!" Peter also smiled.]
"Harry, please take good care of her for me, okay?" Peter lowered his head and patted Harry's shoulder. He had been secretly in love with Mary Jane for a long time, but in the end he still wanted to help Harry be with her so that he wouldn't have to worry.
Harry didn't say anything, just looked at him quietly. He had been in contact with Mary Jane recently, and their relationship was gradually heating up. Mary Jane also knew that Peter had decided to choose Spider-Man and didn't want to be trapped in a relationship.
[In the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson is talking to his wife, "Honey, we agreed to have a wedding, not to bankrupt us! Caviar? Are we going to invite the Tsar? Just get some cheese, crackers, and some sausages."]
[Miss Brant entered, followed by a ragged-looking man holding a bag. "Boss, someone has something you might want to see."]
[Jameson rolled his eyes. "If it’s not an alien head, I’m not interested."]
[The homeless man calmly took out Spider-Man's mask from the bag. J. Jonah Jameson became upset and stood up. "Where did you get these things?"]
[Robbie next to him snatched the mask from his hand and examined it carefully. The homeless man said calmly: "In the garbage dump!"]
[Jameson looked through the contents of the bag. "In the garbage?" He looked at the Spider suit in his hand. "He’s done! Spider-Man has quit. I’ve finally defeated him! This is the power of the press!" Jameson looked at everyone with a smile on his face.]
[“I finally defeated him. It’s a great victory for the power of the media!” But the homeless man only wanted money, “So… do I get paid??”]
[Jameson once again showed his stingy nature, "I'll give you fifty bucks!" The homeless man said dissatisfiedly, "I can get more if I sell it on eBay!"]
[“Okay, I’ll give you a hundred dollars, Miss Brant. Give him the money and a bar of soap!” J. Jonah Jameson looked at the homeless man with disgust. ]
[Before Miss Brant left, she reminded him, "Your wife is still on the line!" The homeless man followed Miss Brant out.]
[Jameson picked up the phone and yelled, "Flowers? How much?" After hearing what his wife said, he yelled, "If you spend a penny more, you can pick flowers from my grave! Just get some plastic ones!" He hung up the phone in a hurry.]
[Robbie, who was holding the spider mask, felt extremely sad and sorry for Spider-Man. He didn't want to see Jameson's smug smile, so he turned and looked out the window! ]
J. Jonah Jameson himself realized that something was wrong after seeing his smug face on the screen. Although he had never slandered Spider-Man in real life, a large number of citizens were still angered by him on the screen, and he would definitely be in big trouble next.
So he left the Daily Bugle in a hurry, left the matter to Robbie, and drove away, planning to come back after a while when things turned around. If there was no scene to redeemed him, he would wait for a while and come back after the heat died down.
[As the Daily Bugle newspapers began to be sold, the news that Spider-Man had lost his suit became widely known, and singers on the street who had originally praised Spider-Man began to use songs to ask where Spider-Man had gone.]
[The headline on the front page of the Daily Bugle: "Spider-Man is done" is very eye-catching! ]
[A man in a spider suit suddenly appeared on the screen, performing various Spider-Man moves, and accidentally bumped into a pen holder next to him.]
[The camera zooms out and it turns out to be Jameson. He is holding a cigar and imitating Spider-Man's movements, jumping onto the table. He imitates the scene of shooting spider web on the table and dubs himself.]
[Hoffman, Brent and Robbie secretly watched this scene, laughing so hard that they couldn't stop. Robbie even shook his head, thinking that another person had gone crazy.]
[The scene was so beautiful that the three dared not look any longer and left with their mouths covered. Jameson turned his head and looked at the place where the three had just peeked in confusion, but found nothing, so he began to indulge in his narcissism again! ]
"Hahahahaha! What is this? The new Spider-Man?" Tony laughed so hard that he slapped his thigh. Even the serious Nick Fury was amused.
And Miss Brant was laughing so hard that she called Jameson and said, "Mr. New Spider-Man, you don't have to run away, come back quickly!"
"Shut up! Brent, be careful or I'll deduct your salary!" The words 'new Spider-Man' deeply hurt Jameson's heart and made him break down instantly.
But he still drove the car back to the Daily Bugle. Even though it was a bit embarrassing, it proved that he was actually a fan of Spider-Man, so he didn't have to worry about being slander by the masses.
[Peter was walking on the road after class. Two female classmates were whispering to each other and looked at him with smiles on their faces as they passed by him. Seeing this, Peter felt better.]
[While passing an alley, Peter saw two people robbing a boy. The boy struggled to escape, but was grabbed by his clothes and could not break free.]
[The smile on Peter's face disappeared. He turned his head and faced away from them, not wanting to see this scene again. The boy began to shout for help, and Peter left with a heavy heart.]
"The kindness and justice in his heart are still there, but he has been crushed, Peter Parker..." Tony looked at Peter with mixed feelings as he silently walked away from them.
Chapter 35 Peter’s Confession
When Peter arrived at Uncle Ben's house, Uncle Ben, who had been waiting for him patiently, immediately invited him to sit on the sofa.
"Peter, it hasn’t been easy for you, has it? Maybe I’ve been putting too much pressure on you, and it’s made everything harder," Uncle Ben said, his voice heavy with concern. He could clearly see the difference between the Peter Parker he once knew and the young man sitting before him now.
Being Spider-Man had taken a toll on Peter. Juggling work, school, and nightly battles against criminals had left him physically and mentally drained. He felt stretched too thin, unable to perform any of his responsibilities as well as he wanted.
But now, without the Spider-Man mantle weighing on him, Peter seemed much more at ease. His face carried a lighter expression, a rare smile. He attended his classes on time and even managed to engage more fully with his daily life.
"Uncle Ben, you don’t have to worry about me," Peter began, trying to reassure him. "The school has already made accommodations for me. The principal has granted me permission to arrive late to class if necessary. They’re even recording the lessons so I can catch up later. Dr. Connors called to say I could reach out to him if I need any help."
He smiled faintly, continuing, "I also don’t have to work anymore. The salary from the police department is enough to cover my expenses. And as for Mary Jane… I trust Harry will take good care of her."
Peter glanced at a video playing on the screen. Watching it as a detached observer, he realized he couldn’t provide Mary Jane with what she needed or deserved. He didn’t want to put her in harm’s way. Though things were already complicated, at least no one dared to attack her outright—anyone who did would have to face Spider-Man’s wrath.
Uncle Ben nodded solemnly, and the two continued their conversation until Aunt May interrupted with dinner.
[The scene transitions. Uncle Ben’s tombstone comes into view, surrounded by flowers. Aunt May’s voice breaks the silence: "He’s gone… just like that. God is so unfair. He was such a peaceful man. This is all my fault."]
[Aunt May gently placed a bouquet of flowers at the grave as Peter stood behind her, silently watching. Today marked the second anniversary of Uncle Ben’s death.]
[Back at Aunt May’s house, she poured Peter a cup of tea. He tried to comfort her, urging her not to blame herself. But Aunt May couldn’t shake the thought that if she had stopped Ben from driving that night, they could all be sitting together, sharing tea.]
[Peter’s heart clenched as he thought about his own culpability. Regret surged through him, weighing heavily on his chest. Finally, he looked at Aunt May and sighed, "I am responsible."]
[Aunt May blinked in confusion. "Why?"]
[“Because everything that happened to Uncle Ben is my fault!” Peter confessed.]
[“But you were at the library, doing your homework!” she countered, her voice trembling.]
[“He sent me there,” Peter admitted. “But I didn’t go. I… I went somewhere else, somewhere I thought I could win some money to buy a car and impress Mary Jane.”]
[Aunt May’s expression shifted, her eyes narrowing as she processed his words. "What are you saying, Peter?"]
[Peter looked down, his voice laced with pain. "It all happened so fast. I won some money, but the guy refused to pay. Then he was robbed. The robber ran toward me, and I could’ve stopped him… but I didn’t. I wanted him to get away."]
[He swallowed hard. "The same man stole Uncle Ben’s car. Uncle Ben tried to stop him… and he was shot."]
[Aunt May’s eyes widened in shock, tears brimming as Peter continued, "Uncle Ben was killed because he did the right thing. And I… I held his hand as he died."]
[Peter reached out, placing a hand over hers. "For so long, I’ve wanted to tell you this."]
[Aunt May slowly withdrew her hand, staring at him in disbelief. Without saying a word, she stood and walked upstairs, unwilling to cry in front of him.]
"Finally you said it out, Peter Parker. I think you will feel better now, right?" Pepper said as she stood beside Tony. Tony was in high spirits today and ran to Stark Industries. The two of them looked at the screen together.
"Ah, that's true, just say it out loud, don't keep it in your heart." Tony nodded in agreement.
Then Rhodes came, and the two had something to discuss today. Seeing this, Pepper gave up her seat to them and went out to do her work.
[The scene shifts again. Otto Octavius adjusts his equipment with mechanical arms, fine-tuning the intricate machinery. The camera pans out to reveal a fully constructed device, lacking only its raw materials.]
[Meanwhile, Harry Osborn sits in his villa, slamming the table in frustration as he reads a report about Spider-Man. "Where are you?!" he growls.]
[Butler Bernard approaches him cautiously. "It’s getting late, sir. I think I’ll head home."]
["Fine," Harry mutters. "Good night, Bernard."]
[After Bernard leaves, Harry steps onto the balcony with a glass of wine. Thunder rumbles in the distance. Suddenly, a metallic vibration grows louder, approaching rapidly.]
[Harry sensed something and walked cautiously to the balcony. Just as he was about to look down, a mechanical tentacle suddenly stretched out and knocked him to the ground.]
[The wine glass in his hand also flew up, and just as it was about to break, a mechanical arm suddenly caught the glass. Harry looked closely and saw Otto standing on the wall of his balcony.]
[Otto looked at Harry and said, "Hello, Harry!"]
[Harry looked at Otto, the uninvited guest, and asked, "Otto, what do you want?"]
[Otto took a sip of wine and said calmly: "Tritium is worth a fortune. I want more this time!"]
[The tentacle throws the wine glass out and smashes it against the wall. He slowly approaches Harry. Harry hears what Otto said and says in a panic: "More tritium? Are you crazy? You'll raze the city to the ground! Madman!"]
[After hearing what Harry said, a tentacle attacked him directly. Harry tried to run away, but the tentacle was obviously faster than him. It grabbed his calf and lifted him upside down, putting him outside the balcony.]
[Harry was frightened and screamed, "Ok! Ok! Stop! Stop!" Looking at the scene below, Harry shouted: "Put me down! Let's make a deal!"]
[Otto smiled slightly, picked up Harry, and put him on the ground. Harry stood up with lingering fear, looked at Otto and said: "Kill Spider-Man, and I will give you the tritium you want!"]
[Then Harry changed his words again: "No... I changed my mind, I want him alive!" Otto stared at Harry closely, "How can I find him?"]
[Harry took two breaths and said, "Peter Parker!" Otto asked in confusion, "Peter?"]
[Harry explained to Otto: "He took pictures of Spider-Man for the Daily Bugle, and he can tell you where Spider-Man is." Otto left immediately after hearing this and asked Harry to get everything ready.]
[Harry was worried that Otto would hurt Peter, so he chased after him and shouted at him, "Don't hurt Peter!"]
