YouTube Irritations and General Updatings...

Hi folks, just wanted to briefly update on a few things that have come up over the past while.

On the way that videos end:  YouTube has changed shit massively here, as usual...now everyone ought to be using "end screens" for all the usual stuff that's got to be at a video's end.  It kind of makes sense to do it, seeing as the annotations and so forth that I normally use don't work on mobile devices.  But this end screen can apparently be only 20 seconds long, which is annoying - it does rather screw up the way I usually end a video...it may well be that I have to stop saying names altogether, to be honest - which kind of sucks.  But then again, there are surely plenty other ways to reward people for their support...just a question of finding good ones.

On commentaries:  These will be coming back very soon - time has been very much against me when it comes to actually sitting down and doing anything that isn't making the next weekly vid.  I'm hoping to sit down and do a video along the lines of Peter Molyneux (one of them anyway) next week - it was supposed to be the week just gone but then things got quite hectic...I'm gradually going to start opening up a couple more of the the older commentaries to the public too, just to get a few more eyes on them.  

On time, how things are going and so forth...:  It is very likely that I will be taking a bit of time off from recording, perhaps soon - I'm getting to the stage where I really feel as though I need to do it.  Going full-time has been amazing in a lot of ways, but it has also been frustrating in some - there's a lot of varied things that I wanted to do now that I'm an f/t YouTuber, and honestly?  Barely any of it's happened.   Whether it was getting to a two video a week stage, making more varied videos (reviews!), getting some merchandise sorted, or hell - even posting more on here and interacting with people, which I don't seem to do.  All the time I get seems to be spent on the big videos and nowt more...the big videos are going great as a result of course, but this is simply untenable.  I haven't even been able to post a video celebrating the Framemeister due to video stuff (it'll be a part of the Patreon video next week).

I do worry about having a bit of a break as I don't want to lose any momentum, but it's something that I've been promising for myself since I finished the Psygnosis video (it's not really something I've had for months - as soon as I left work for the summer I went straight in), and I probably need to do it just so I can get structure in place, and a bit of form...maybe 35-40 (even 60 sometimes!) minute videos every single week is that little bit too damn much.  This may all sound a little hyper-critical, of course...but hey-ho - just various things that are concerning at the moment. 

For now, we'll see what develops, when the natural time to take a break comes - it might be sooner rather than later.  Thanks for reading!  I'll be posting Grange Hill, tomorrow's (shorter than normal and actually kind of old, but needs must) vid in a little while - do enjoy!  Wherever you are... and so forth.
