The Aerith Paradox | a Final Fantasy VII (2020) Mini Essay

- They are not comprehensive essays about the subjects
- These essays are not indicative of my favorite pieces of media in 2020, rather the media that I felt encapsulates the year for me.
While there were a lot of games from 2020 that I thoroughly enjoyed, there were few that provoked thoughts in me like Final Fantasy VII remake. So as we wait another decade for part two of the saga, I want to consider the place of Aerith Gainsborough in our modern pop culture, and the impact her life and death might bring to a new generation.
