I was really torn with the extra character in this. I originally wanted a kind of bulky bearded vulture vibe, but I wasn't getting the 'firey' vibe from him. In the end I winded up leaning more towards the Fantasia interpretation with some anime thrown in (I thought I recalled Fushigi Yuugi having that sort of.. segmented bead tail in it? But apparently it didn't. I'm not sure where I remembered that style from but it was always stuck in my head as very classic.)
I'm really excited about the next page, I think it's gonna be fun! We're almost there!
