Course of Temptation Dev Diary #49

Hello friends! Happy Friday. This will probably be a short one, as most everything I've been up to you can see for yourself in the current early access build. :)

I've just updated the early access build to 0.5.2a, fixing bugs (there haven't been too many reported, which is good!) and integrating some new contributed content. Another couple of new clothing items from RyDog are in, as well as a new variation in the gloryhole events written by sleepy.

One big new exciting thing: tooltips, contributed by SunsetDreams!

I expect this will become one of those how-did-we-live-without-this changes, and it'll be a great way to add context to the various complexities of the game and teach new players without asking them to read through a wall of text.

If there's any area of the game that you think could really use tooltips, please let us know either here or on the Discord! 

We think we have followed the standard to make tooltips accessible to screen reader users, too. If we've missed the mark on that, please let us know that too and we'll correct it.

I'll continue to work on filling out this update into next week. I want to write another Porn Addict event or two, and then probably finally tackle that book and writing skill expansion I keep wanting to do, and whatever other misc stuff I have time for. After that, I'll be switching my efforts back to the next major update, the River Rat expansion.

My early playtesting of the River Rat server job has led me to believe that six tables probably is too much to juggle, so I'll probably quickly dial that down to four. It's time to go hard on writing events for this job, though, so I'll see how it plays once there's some variety to the things that can happen.
