#S221 Fatui Mirror Mage [Flats & Exclusives preview]

Here's the flats! I'm once again trying to be more painterly with my backgrounds, though this month we're setting the comic in the mirror dimension so there's less work for me to do there. I've left the portal mirrors as a flat greyish blue for the time being but I'm hoping to introduce some depth, to help sell the fact that it's a portal. I'm also going to try and texture the fluid coating Rosaria's shoulder so that it looks like quicksilver. As for the exclusives, I felt the story was left a little open ended, so having everyone in Mondstadt captured felt like a conclusive end. I'm sure the stories of each of these characters being captured would be very compelling but we'll leave them for another time, perhaps for someone to write a story or another artist to draw. Lastly, I'm sick again. I've taken a covid test and the result was negative so it must just be a cold or the flu. Either way I'm taking medication to control the symptoms but it's still really distracting. Progress this month will be slow, unfortunately.
