The sketches are not supposed to be defined since only one or two of them will be finished to a colored state - the rougher the sketch, the easier it was for me to draw. The more defined sketches took me a longer time since I had difficulties with the poses and I end up redrawing the same picture over and over again, hence some thicker, more defined lines.
