Samus Slabbed (CW: Dark)

The Galactic Federation’s latest mission was rather bizarre as the elite bounty hunter, Samus Aran made her way through hyperspace, her iconic orange Gunship having gotten sent the coordinates and was locked to autopilot. Yet no objective was to be given until she reached the landing site, wherever that may be. The idle thought of perhaps the Federation was ‘getting rid of her’ wasn’t the most foreign, she was the last living Metroid in a way… Surely it was all just in her head though, she had proven her loyalty to the galaxy time and time again, thinking any longer on this was the anxieties of a fool.
“Adam, time until arrival.” Samus briefly asked her AI copilot, one who shared the memories and name of her former captain and friend. However, the only response received was static, as the lights flickered on and off, a solar storm?!? Blast it, this was entirely avoidable if she could have had control of the wheel, wait, is that a-?!?
“Black hole…!” The supermassive gravitational pressure and intense mind-numbing heat of flying too close to such a celestial behemoth was abundantly clear, even from within the spacecraft, action needed to be taken, now! The blonde zero suit clad warrior swiftly tried to perform a desperate maneuver yet somehow through all of this, the autopilot lock was still enabled until…
‘You have reached your destination.’ This was intentional, a thought that would have filled her with dread, betrayal, and fury was drowned out by the need to act, escaping this fate was unavoidable now, her ship’s hyperdrive needs time to charge to full, and all she could do is…
“Reverse thrust, stall the ship as long as possible!” It was a gamble, but maybe there was one way out of this, a last resort hyperspace ride through the black hole, with a semi-powered jump, should grant enough speed to avoid the ‘spaghetti-ification’ process, and then… hoping black holes’ insides aren’t lethal, it should be a swift end if not. The meter reached halfway, a third left, a quarter, yet structural damage alerts were blaring, she couldn’t escape this, Samus had to…!
“Hyperspace, now!” And after a few seconds, the ship splooshed straight into the nothingness of the mighty void, and never came out again…
“Not… dead.” That was the first thought coursing through the groggy blonde’s head as she awoke, urgh, is this the afterlife or did she actually make it through that? Her surroundings felt wrong, foreign, incorrect. Normally, Samus would account that feeling to her suit losing its powers and upgrades, again, it had a passion for doing that… Yet, her suit was nowhere to be found, it wasn’t on her body, guh, her body…? An attempt was made to look down and… a guttural scream escaped her lips, a rarity for the normally silent bounty hunter, yet the horror she saw was too great.
The black hair over her body was everywhere, and said body made pigs look slim, the closest shape to describe herself was that of a potato…! The limbs as well, the stubby little black legs and arms were clearly insectoid, in two segments yet how the four of them are supposed to help her move around would be a mystery if it weren’t for the four tiny wings she could feel on her back, fluttering them with disgust, this can’t be happening, it can’t be-?!?
“There you are…” The sound of another person’s deep voice causes alarm and Samus turns around to see what appears to be another version of what she is, except with a shoddy bronze plated helmet and a way too small chest piece that clearly lacked polish or care, as well as finally getting to see her new kind’s face, which had the appearance… of a fly’s. The bulging white round eyes, the disgusting mouth area, the long pointy thing drooping all over the place, and this creature’s stench is so unbearable, vomiting felt like not a matter of if, but when. This has to be a nightmare, she was a successful, multi-galaxy renowned icon, not some-!
“Oi brother, you there? You gotta job to do!” The bug is speaking… Probably should have noticed that earlier, but there’s far too much going on… Brother…? Is this body male…? It only took that idle thought to confirm that underneath all this filthy hair was a bug’s parts of the male variety… Nonononono…!
“Yeah, sorry, I…” Attempting to turn her brain off, the former girl panicked as she realized just how deep her voice was, she sounded identical to her ‘brother’ over there, guh, this was all wrong, she couldn’t be a bug, a male gross living pest…! At least this race of insects was somewhat sentient, yet ulgh, that almost made it worse!!!
“Whatever. Take this. Got Guardflies to make it.” And in the fellow fly’s sweaty, hair riddled limbs, was an equally ridiculous set of ‘armor’, a disgrace to the privilege that was once her Power Suit, yet… She needed to not be vulnerable in this environment, and like it or not, with her lack of experience in this body, armor as pathetic as this would at least help.
“You’re a Wardenfly now, brother. Go get us prisoners now, would ya’? Catch sinners!” Samus felt her instructions get given to her, and some beastly urge made her body yearn to comply, capturing ‘sinners’ would reward her with food, and food made her stay a Wardenfly, flying around the complex known as The Slab in her new uniform made her aware of the societal structure of this place, as she looked around for her cage.
The bigger you were, the more food you got to eat, and the better you’d be at staying on the top, while most Guardflies lived a life of starvation and sleep deprivation, getting to ever leave this place was a luxury they’d almost never see. It almost made her grateful she was a Wardenfly until she realized how pathetic that was to think, she’s a male gross bug! One that doesn’t wear any pants because it’s easier to just shit everywhere and fly with feces stuck in her tons of ass hair! Muddled memories of all these facts flooded her brain, whoever’s life this was originally, it’s now hers…
“Gotta place.” The jailer mumbled to herself in delirium, better to just not think, where even is here, did her brain turn off that much? Not home, that’s way more up and left, this is so far, and vibrantly green, should he have really gone… Huh?!?
A red cloaked bug comes into view, wielding a sharp looking needle before swiftly dashing over and slashing at the fat hairy belly that belonged to him, OW, that hurt!!! Yet the nimble creature kept swinging, persistent in her endeavor just like he would be in her position, the style as ferocious as the famed bounty hunter’s used to be. Guh, this armor prevented basically nothing, he could die as some grotesque grimy monster…! This fact made something snap and as soon as he awoke again, a contained unconscious creature was in the cage, urgh, more memory lapses…? How often is he going to succumb to being a beast, home, needs to go home, home lets him be herself again…
And so, The Slab came into view, clear thoughts finally returning to Samus, how long has it been since she remembered her name…? Or her gender, urgh, leaving this vile stench of a prison seemed to rob her of her reason, the further she went from her ‘home’, the more sentience her mind lost. And some part of that definitely stayed eroded, would she eventually lose all of herself if she stayed away from here long enough?
Giving the bug to the weaker, yet clearly smarter, Guardflies, what was handed to the former huntress, terms more apt to describe the knocked out black bodied bug, was a red cloak and a sharpened needle. Both were to go in the storage hold, yet… they caught Samus’ murky white arthropod eyes, these were used by that tiny little creature to attack her, but they smelled so nice and clean, almost feminine, their clean scent bewitching the jumbled reason left in the insect’s hazy mind.
And so, in an empty room, with a view of the frigid mountainside, following a lot of struggling and exertion, the garment was around her thick neck. It was like an adult trying to wear a dress from her childhood, not that Samus’ childhood was filled with much dress wearing, but still, she needed to feel like her former self as she danced with the needle in her hand.
She was strong, she was fast, she was a warrior to be feared, she was confident, she was just like that brave little bug! And most importantly she was a girl, a pretty girl, this is all a bad dream, she’s not some gross fat fly, stuck in this place like the prisoners she’d helped collect. Living her life in this vile stench ridden hellhole, that couldn’t be her fate! Her ‘brothers’ came to watch her dance, but she didn’t care, this was her relief, and if they watched her perform, so be it, pretending to be that tiny bug was Samus’ last shot of hope, the closest to happiness she’ll ever have, if only she could have woken up as that creature instea-?!?
“BWAUGH-?!?” Feeling something heavy on her back, it was only a moment before the entirety of her neck was snapped, this torture ended at last, seeing the proud hunter stood above her briefly, looking at her soon-to-be corpse with utter disgust, the only thought Samus possibly could have is relief that it was all over thanks to her new idol… She had won once, and now she had lost once, truly a battle of equals, that was her final thoughts in this last moment.
“I cannot believe I got caught by these scum… Especially the one parading around as me, cursed flies, vile beasts even after death…” Hornet mumbled to herself after the fight is won, wishing her scent of smell wasn’t being assaulted as she kicked the body of what was once Samus Aran, the last living Metroid, bounty hunter extraordinaire, out of the way.
“Revolting.”

Something slightly different this time around! Not only a full-on story, but an FtM one and a crossover piece! Inspiration struck, and Hannah wrote this whole thing in basically one sitting! Pretty unlike our usual stuff, but I hope you all enjoy nonetheless!
