After Luke Skywalker was done dirty by the corporate overlords and Star Wars revisionists, this rewrite is desperately needed to happen.
First change needed to be made: Luke's reunion with his former lightsabre. Rian Johnson insulted all fans with that stupid scene of Jake Skywalker (or fake Luke Skywalker) tossing it over his shoulder.
