Fire

A very important message for those who support me.

I've lost the fire in my work for a very long time. I'm always doing something for someone, I'm still interested in doing animations, and I'm not going to stop, but as you can see, the time interval between animations has become longer and less frequent. The fact is that I spend a lot of time on models, although it may not be visible. And I constantly think that I'm not doing enough, I need to do more, and as strange as it may sound, but because of this, the intusiasm disappears, and the case really goes longer than necessary.

I thought to stop paying for the patron for a month or two, and just relax, doing something that interests me, making animations that I want for myself, playing with models that I want to touch.

But thanks to you, I was able to decide to quit my job more than a year ago, and I am told that people support me not only for the awards, but because they want it. I'm from Russia, here people try to get everything for free, and paying for games/movies/TV series is considered "stupid" (talking about supporting other artists) For this reason, even after a few years, I can not get rid of the feeling that if they help me, then I am in debt. I want to return the fire, I want to mentally get out of the swamp in which I sit.

That's why I want to ask. Or rather, to warn you that I want to spend the next 2 months on myself, on something that would bring to life at least a few of my ideas, that would make animations for friends just because I would like, and maybe I will finally start learning blender, and I will work there.

This is a warning to everyone.

I don't stop doing animations, but I want to take a break, and take my sense of "duty" off my shoulders. I'll do everything I promised sooner or later, don't worry,

I understand that this will most likely alienate people from me, but I'm afraid that if I don't, I'll burn out completely. And then i will need to look for a job, and say goodbye to your hobby. And go back to the old "1 or 2 animation per month"

Hope you get well soon man

Panda Chef

Don't beat yourself up. Do what you want. Np.

Karnage86

I won't stop supporting because I love your content. Self care is important to everyone. Take care of yourself and enjoy your 2 months break.

EightySeven

I don't mind at all. I really enjoy any animation you throw out to us. I am satisfied in the idea that the longer you spent on the animation, the more fire there is in your work. <3

Take all the time you need. I'm a creator too so I understand. The constant push to make content eats away at the creativity and if you don't refresh yourself with time off it'll just feel worse and worse. I support you because I really appreciate all the work you've done so far, and because I understand how creativity takes time I think it's important that you take time off.

Carbon

It's important to take time for personal projects and learning new skills (like blender). It helps you nurture your creativity. I look forward to seeing what you make.

Éamon

Honestly, I'm here because I support your work. Not because of the specific work you make. I'm happy to support whatever you decide to make

I wish for the best, man. Sometimes you gotta do some breaks and find the passion for yourself all over again when it feels dry. It's no rush whatsoever, and who knows, you may get some inspiration when you least expect it!

SinnamonSpikes

honestly this is good, i am glad you are taking time for yourself patreon has been fatal for more than a few creators. so do not feel guilty for taking a step back.

Bryan Whiteman

that's totally alright. thank you so much for the heads up -- i'll be happy to keep pledging you for as long as it takes for you to get back on your feet. <3

If you keep communicating most should understand. I've seen someone make enough to live a year each month that doesn't even post updates on their project every month. *That* would get people upset. Years later they still make enough to live a whole year every couple months. I don't scorn anyone's success, but my point is communication is key.

thanks *hugs*

Mr Kipler

Valentino

Thank you ~

Mr Kipler

That's the problem, I didn't make many of them

Mr Kipler

I did warn you that you were doing too many animation now that's the burn out

Stoomper

Take all the time you need to refresh yourself and do what YOU want to do my guy. I supported your patreon because I believe you have a real talent for animating, that won't change if you take a break. I too am a creator of sorts and I can definitely empathise with feeling like you've lost the reason you got into it in the first place and now you're just doing it out of obligation and financial support. :) Hope you spend your downtime well if you choose to take it.

Finn

Yes, I haven't done anything for myself in 4 or 5 months It's strange when I started doing this to implement my ideas. and now I only make other people's ones. this is also wrong

Mr Kipler

Sounds alright, please take your time, take a deep breath and enjoy your hobby you too! Aside for being a content creator, you shall enjoy it too! At least my support you will have
