Hardcore Mode
Added 2020-07-14 17:50:19 +0000 UTCWould anyone be interested in a “hardcore mode” for the Bondage Club? Here’s a few ideas on how it could work:
Hardcore mode could only be activated once per account. If you deactivate it, you won’t be able to activate it again. It would be managed server side to prevent any console cheating.
A hardcore label could be shown on your character sheet and maybe the number of days you’ve been playing on that mode.
When playing hardcore, no rescue maid will come for you in the main hall and safewords won’t work. Also, club management will not remove any chastity device.
I know it’s not for everyone, but would some of you like it?

Probably not. Blocking console commands would be tons and tons of work, it's a javascript game after all.

2020-07-16 13:53:07 +0000 UTCI just reread this and had a question, this hardcore mode wouldn't turn off console commands for just slipping out of locks and restraints would it? Cause on my first read through I thought that was pert of it, that would be the ideal case imo cause it would be nice to slip on an owner lock and know a sub simply can't get out no matter what.

There should be no way to remove restraints which you can't struggle out by yourself without others players help. So maybe something like that: NPC's in your room can't remove restraints; strength of others NPC's is increased to make fights with them harder; when you're bound and relogging in the game you stay in the same room and still bound (command in the menu about that should be deactivated on hardcore); if you logout in the chatroom and relog then you should be in the same room, even if you're alone there (i dont know is it hard to implement and cost resources) So, the main idea is that you need to ask someone (or pray, or m-m-m-ph) to rescue you if you're stuck. I am not really sure how to deal with it if you stuck not in online room. Maybe some mechanism that decrease the bondage strength with time? Like the ropes loose after some time. And after few days you will be able to escape by yourself, for example. Or just leave it be, if we talk about hardcore.

Especially if that owner decides to use non-owner locks on items before they leave, like the "only I can unlock these" locks. EDIT: Probably a weeks delay to turn it back on, so you can't just turn it off and back on all the time.

I think there should be a time limit before players can turn it on. Like the account needs to be older than 30 days or be online X hours before they can turn it on. And for the same reason it should definitely be toggleable, maybe with a penalty.

2020-07-14 18:22:10 +0000 UTC"And safewords wont work" Regardless of a hardcore mode or not, safewords should be allowed to work, there used for reason such as when something goes to far and communication cant be achieved Also, a "one and done" on turning it on and off shouldnt be a thing, i believe it was mentioned but perhaps a timer would be better, something like 1 hour block, so if its active it wont allow you to disable it for an hour, tracks your time played in hardcore mode, and when disabled, another hour block before being allowed to re-enable it

Change the timer to only show how long it's been activated this time and you eliminate the ability to 'cheat' the system by deactivating, maid/safeword-ing, then re-enabling because the hardcore timer would reset. Maybe add perks/benefits/titles for hitting certain milestones in hardcore time to encourage leaving it enabled?
