(R1-1) Yet another Hoodwink model rework

Now to the good news.

As I'm moving into Unreal Engine, I need to remake ALL of my assets. And first of all what needs to be remaked - the Hoodwink model.

I don't know if this attempt will succeed, but it needs to be done one way or another because the current model is a pain in the ass to work with, especially in UE. It's funny how remaking her model is some kind of test of my skills.

What are my plans for this time:
1. Change her legs - I've always said how bad they are. When you work with the original model, you always need to modify them. So finally we'll get proper legs.
2. Connect her tail to the body - Not a necessary thing, but it's always good to see that the tail is a part of the body.
3. Keep original textures - I'll try to keep original textures as much as I can. Trying to make new textures from the ground for a reworked model was a huge mistake that killed the old attempt.
4. Create a new rig - Can't say that the old one is bad, I've seen worse. But it does have serious issues that need to be fixed (some of them are made by me, oops). I'll try to use CloudRig system and see how well it can be exported into Unreal.

So... let's how long it will take this time and whether will I succeed in finally remaking this cursed model.

Also - IF YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP, TELL ME. It's still on stage where I can do major changes to it, so if I screwed up on some parts, just tell me and I'll fix it.
Note: The artifacts below her belly are z-fighting. It's temporary.

Comments

My main suggestion is not to make the new legs TOO tall, as that detracts from her original posture and makes her a little too "anthro". Her character is basically designed to have short stout legs, and arms that are just a bit awkward as they're longer (at least in appearance) than the legs. Trying to "even out" the proportions lessens some of the uniqueness of the character.
