Sorry about that and thanks for the helpful guide! Yeah, I realized late that the preview screen I was watching during editing was not a standard resolution so I had to render the video in a custom resolution to not have to reposition and rework ALL of the images from the video. I will certainly pay better attention for the next one!

If anyone wants to make a smaller file, the command I used is copied below (works on Linux, if you remove the comment lines): ffmpeg \ -i './input/Succubus Returns.mp4' \ # video encoding settings -c:v libsvtav1 -crf 16 -preset 6 -svtav1-params tune=0 \ # copy the audio, it's already 192 kbps AAC -c:a copy \ # copy everything in input file 0, exclude data streams though -map 0 -map -0:d \ './output/Succubus Returns.mkv' - uses [SVT-AV1](https://gitlab.com/AOMediaCodec/SVT-AV1) to encode to AV1 - crf sets the quality, 1 to 63, lower is better - the fade at 4:42.199 is where I checked for artifacts - 4: invisible, 8: slight, 12: definite difference, 16: definitely worse, 24: still looks decent (better than YouTube) - preset sets the speed, 4-6 is recommended for saved media - tune=0 maximizes "visual quality" over PSNR - film-grain=0, the default, because it can erase details, the common range is up to 16, and around 4 for animation - ffmpeg version 5.1.2, SVT-AV1 v1.1.0 - some fast decode options might be a good idea if it stutters, but I can't test those quickly
