2024-12-03 07:57:57 +0000 UTCWhat happened at the end was Kayce essentially telling him "You come after my family i kill yours, thats the deal" thats why he told Monica before he left he's doing this for them, so he's taking them off the board in that way, making sure his family aint in danger, now its just down to Jamie he needs to deal with.

When he was on the phone the 1st time with his old buddy he asked him to look into who might be working those kind of gigs on USA soil, the call in this episode the guy had the info for Kayce. Going back when Kayce was able to get the medical examiner to change her findings from suicide he told the cops to make a big announcement, he wanted it public so the private contractors would help him out the local person who set it in motion, he likely knew it would be a hit to take care of loose ends for the contractor, that is what he was talking about with the contractor. The separation they needed was Sara dead as she was the only one who met with them, with her gone they are clear, he pointed out they had what they needed so the rest of his family was off limits. He let him know if they decided to go further and eliminate any of his family he would come after them, that they screwed up not vetting the targets family and he knows their world and has many friends in it to follow through on his threat. Essentially this was the culmination of Kayce's vision, he had to make a choice, Moe told him when the time comes he would understand the moment. That morning on the deck he saw the news about Sara, got the info for the contractor and was in his family gravesite with Tate and realized the ranch is not their home, they are his home what he chose was not the ranch but his family and acted to keep them safe. It still leaves Jamie but Beth has told Kayce repeatedly to leave Jamie for her to deal with.

2024-12-03 02:05:58 +0000 UTCKayce explained that anything happens, even if he has an idea that there is surveillance on his family, even the idea that they are circling them, or anything happens to them, all the info is already given to his "friends" and basically he is killing Grant's whole family circle. Family for Family is the trade. He explained that I am 12 years in the teams you know how many friends I have? meaning that favors are pulled, its not about money or anything, even If Grant somehow kills Kayce's whole family and himself, his whole family circle dies, and there is no way to protect them, because there is no way to know Kayce's circle of trust that he shared the info with. Mo is 100% one of them, he wasn't there just to drive, anything happens, he will be one of the men scalping Grant's family. This is a kill or be killed world and its Indian culture as well. You kill their family, they have to kill yours, its only normal their culture is like that, since they basically faced ethnic cleansing and genocide, not war.

Basically he shut this guy down by warning him, you threaten his family or come after him he will kill everyone in this guys family. My only issue with this episode is with Teeter and colby. He didn't have to die. There was no point. We already knew that horses can kill you. Their mother died that way. So what was the point? I am truly going to miss watching you guys react to this. Bring on 1883 and 1923!

Kayce risked his life in that instance to guarantee the company had enough "separation" in the matter and wasn't going to pursue his family further or he would kill Grant's family. Essentially, Kayce won the battle without having to kill Grant. Although he touched his head pretty good with that gun. lol
