The Zetsu Mail [December 2023 Edition]
Added 2023-12-04 18:57:08 +0000 UTCHenlo! Welcome to the 10th edition of the mail that....wow, 10 of these? Hold on, let's keep the celebration for its 12th edition.
Instead, let's celebrate the end of 2023! It's been 12 long months (well, 11 for now), but the year is nearly over. How did you manage to spend your time this year? I've certainly been more conscious about it in an effort to be more productive. While I haven't done everything I set out to do, I certainly got a lot done still.
It's hard to remember all of the stuff we've done over the course of an entire year. I mean, a single day can be awfully long given the right circumstances, and I'm sure you have long days every once in a while. Now stretch that to a week, or a month. That's already a lot of days. You've already forgotten most of it. What about the meaningful moments and the painful moments? You may find yourself already forgetting details. Now, 12 months? It's undeniable. The human brain can only store so much.
For every stupid thing you remember doing this year, for every unfortunate event that happened to you this year, I guarantee that something good has happened in return. I can't say for sure what the exact ratio is because it really does depend on person to person, but I refuse to believe in a full year of net negative events, even if it did feel like it.
So be proud of yourself! You've spent all this time working, studying, maintaining relationships, yourself, and staying alive. You've already accomplished a lot. If you feel as though you wasted the year, really do think back on all you've accomplished. If you're not satisfied with the results, there's always next year. Set realistic goals for yourself, take it one step at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself, and it's always okay to take a step back to recover. Make small progress and achieve small milestones. Turn that into momentum to create a snowball that's bigger and bigger and roll with it.
I wouldn't restrict myself to years too much, either. I think time is way more complicated than we perceive it to be, and the Gregorian calendar only offers so many days and months before a year ends. It counts the year based on how long it takes to make a full rotation around the Sun, after all. Do you, as an individual, have to dictate how you spend every day based on how the planet spins around its cosmic orbit? I don't think so. December doesn't have to be the end, and January doesn't have to be a new beginning. Society loops its events annually, sure, but when you're trying to improve yourself and do something you're proud of, what month it is shouldn't affect you so much.
So try not to think of this month as the end of the year, rather a month where you get to spend time with your loved ones, eat some hearty meals, enjoy the weather, and live life the way you always do.
Before I end, I'd like to know what your plans are this holiday season! If you don't celebrate Christmas, what are you up to? I'd love to hear how you're doing :3
To nobody's surprise, December's theme is: CHRISTMAS!
We'll be spending quality time with our femboy boyfriends, and maybe even have some naughty fun in the holiday spirit~
As always, if you're a Couch Council or higher tier, you get to know what the audio titles are going to be before they come out and get to vote on the release order.
Until next time!
