Hiya Spacefarers,
Another week sped past us as we continue on this month's theme of finishing the old, while simultaneously building something new. Lets quickly acclimate you with what the team got done in these last few days.
Doppel finally got done with most of his lighting and shading related labors and happily moved on to what he loves best i.e making more Caly models! Speaking of models, we lightly teased a still of Caly as a muse, over on our twitter last week. Happy to confirm, that is part of an upcoming mini-scene due to be released in the next patch, and if stars align, we might just make ground on some additional content as well where Caly ends up in a bunny suit. Intrigued? Believe us, we're too!
The writers guild have also advanced their goals and are now working on post Henosis Overhaul events. New characters are due to make appearance while present ones continue to have their dialogues retouched to bring it in line with the feedback from the patrons. At the time of writing this post, it's being discussed whether it would be ideal to push these changes in the next public release or do so in one final go after all patches have been pushed. We'll keep you updated on this as more develops.
Finally, from the challenging land of codeworks, comes a new development in the works. As VoidBound becomes more expansive, players will most likely come across a variety of new foes who would stand between Caly and her goal. Keeping track of each of their unique skills would eventually become a giant pain in the posterior. Hence, a new system is being planned where players no longer will have to guess or memorize the specifics of a foe's skill-set. Simply hover over the skill mid combat and a short info will popup detailing on what to expect, thereby enabling players to take preventive/resistive actions beforehand. However, we'll develop this one cautiously and adjust it more tightly, as it has the capability of making combat too uninspiring. After-all, game-play needs to be interesting. Not irritating or disappointing.
And that is everything that this week brought forward. More specifics, as usual, in the PR itself, so do make a pass on it. Next week is the final one of the month and if plans stay on course, we believe it's going to be as busy an end of the month, as the last was.
On that note, we bid you well and will see you in the next one o/
Kind Regards,
Cursed-Atelier Team
