New Schedule releases September 8th.
8:00PM GMT (London) / 21:00 CEST (EU) / 3 PM EST (New York) / 3 AM CT (Beijing, Sep.9th in this time zone)
#1 Watermark changes: Removal of the QR code in the bottom left corner.
The QR code in the bottom left corner has been removed, as it was noted in DMs that it was a bit distracting. All social media links are now integrated into a single watermark located in the bottom right corner.
#2 Increased Quality of Downloadfiles:
Some of the downloadable files were previously available in lower, speed-efficient resolutions similar to their webp counterparts online, which didn't look great on large TV screens or other big devices. The quality of recent uploads has been increased, so feel free to download them again for better viewing.
#3 Content between September 1st and September 8th.
Fountain of Growth will release some random point during the week as the only project. All other projects are on hold until next week. Anyone who unsubscribed or does so between August 24th and September 7th will receive the project via DM.
#4 Rank changes, Taking effect on September 8th!
a) Lowest Tier
Now includes all regular ongoing series comics, whether it’s "Lisa," "Dragon," "Fountain of Growth," or a different series. Different stories will no longer be separated by tiers going foreward.
b) Middle Tier
Will feature all the downloads, regardless of story and all the new bonus images will be provided accordingly, instead of being an afterthought.
c) Highest Tier
Will undergo minimal changes. However, stories will no longer be selected by regular votes but rather based on Lexy's judgment. Voting will still occur occasionally for specific cases.
Why these rank changes? Two months ago, I addressed some issues, but it only treated the symptoms rather than the root causes. The current system is unsustainable and needs to be addressed. These changes will allow for better focus and care on individual stories.
Tiers became pretty bloated. The previous structure was overly complicated, with different rewards that required a lot of work but had little in common in terms of workflow. Once one upload was finished, it was time to immediately move on to a different story with a new cast and scenes, which limited how much attention can be given for each series and also created a feeling of dragged-out pacing. Each series took time away from another.
By combining all series into one tier, we can, for example, have 3 or 4 "Lisa" uploads in a row, followed by several uploads of a completely different series. This will eliminate the productivity decrease that occurred whenever the artist had to switch between projects and also a better pacing for the stories.
Another issue this change addresses is the introduction and conclusion of stories. Previously, in typical german fashion, I aimed to tailor everything perfectly down to the last detail. Yeh, there is a reason why we rule Rplace but that means we are incapable of adapting to changing environments xD. While past rewards worked well for "Imouto," they might not fit a new project and prove to be very inflexible. Over time, this would lead to constant tier changes, which is not a sustainable approach. This is exactly what happened. Tiers should be sorted by content type, not by series, hence this new change.
Some of these changes are immediate, while others will be implemented gradually. Another update will be coming at the end of the week, as I've identified an issue with some of the assigned tiers on the website and have discussed potential solutions with the web developer. (Thanks Arianault for pointing it out)
Thank you all for your patience and continued support! As you can see a lot of the feedback already went immediately in here so keep it coming! I'm always open to new ideas and suggestions!
