Added 2024-02-11 00:50:34 +0000 UTCAs of this year Patreon has to use Apple as a payment processor on IOS. It's pretty dumb because Patreons role is actually that of a payment processor too but Apple wants to enforce their monopoly status. What does this mean? Just don't pay for Patreon on Apple, seriously don't. You waste money paying taxes to Apple. Just pay for your subscriptions using the browser and you are good to go. Unironically I actually earn about a few percentage points more using apple but this right here is beyond stupid...

If you have to use a cell phone to use patron because you don't have a PC or w/e, use the browser and click use desktop mode. That should also let you bypass apple taking a cut.

2024-02-11 17:05:02 +0000 UTCI was actually triple-guessing whether this was a partnered thing in which I would be unable to use the browser on my tablet. I always go on the browser and never considered getting an icon for this site cause I only use it to follow.
