Catacombs Tileset - Patron Beta
Added 2025-03-28 15:00:12 +0000 UTCHello! This set is huge-- thanks for waiting for this one.
This is a special patreon beta version of my upcoming Castles and Catacombs tileset expansion pack. This beta includes the tileset assets for the catacombs+sewers which will make up the main biome of the pack.
As you can see-- this set turned out to be incredibly detailed and hugely complicated; so today's beta version focuses on the primary biome tiles.

The download includes multiple tilesets formatted for immediate use in RPGMaker. If you don't use RPGMaker, the A2 sheet won't work for you (it's the RM autotile format), but the A5 and B sheets are general tile-sheets (the full published version will have full-sized autotiles in a master sheet, but first I test in RPGMaker).
Please let me know if you find any errors or mistakes with these tiles.
Thank you!

(Reminder: if your browser spits the zip back at you, paste it into the address bar directly and show that browser whose boss.)
(Note: As usual with patron betas-- I will eventually remove this download after the full pack has been published)

Now, I know.. if it's called Castles and Catacombs... where's the castle!?
For the full release, I will include one more TileA5 and TileB sheet with some castle stuff-- the tileA5 sheet will be a lighter variant on these A5 textures, with TileB providing objects for a throne room, courtyard, etc.
The idea, of course, is that this set will provide everything for the chapter where the player visits the castle, gets thrown in the dungeon, and then escapes through the crypts and sewers. The perfect follow-up to Elements Hometown and Caves and Mines!
Finishing up the castle sheet will only take me another few days of work (more quickly now that the complicated terrain and walls are done), so I'm gonna make time for that within the next week, and of course I'll share the full set with the patron group when I have it ready to publish in a week or two.

I hope that you have a lot of fun with these tiles this weekend. I'll be back on Monday with our monthly recap, and then Tuesday is the first of the new month. See you soon.
Thanks!
