Elements Tilesets with Time Fantasy Colors!

Hello-- today's release is based on a patron suggestion.

There's been a lot of talk about the compatibility between the classic Time Fantasy series and the more recent Elements set. Since both sets use the same base tile-size, they're compatible and can work well together-- the only difference of course is the color palette.

I've previously made a tutorial on how you might want to update the color of the Time Fantasy tiles-- but today we're going in the other direction!

It took me a long time to figure out a good sequence of color changes that worked well, but I think that I found a nice mix that will match up the tiles pretty nicely!

I set up a Photoshop action to make the process a little easier on myself-- so luckily it didn't take much time once I finally decided on a sequence that I was satisfied with the result.

The above preview I made by copying pieces from the promo screenshots for the Elements tilesets and running them through the same action that I made-- they show how the finished tilesets look in the more muted color style of Time Fantasy.

Here's the steps if you want to recreate the Photoshop Action (the screenshots show what I did in detail with the numbers to tweak):

But don't worry-- you don't need to recreate the steps yourself. I went ahead and did the entire set, and I think that I'll release them as an update for the Elements sets-- probably tomorrow or maybe next week.

In the meantime, patrons can download them here.

Okay, here's the Downloads:

Reminder: If your browser doesn't like it when you click on a link to the zip file, copy and paste the URL directly into the address bar.

Because these zips include the entire contents of these tileset packs; I'm going to have to take them down in the future-- so these downloads will be here for a month or two (until I remember to remove them).

This is consistent with the policy for sharing large releases-- so make sure to download these while you can. :)

When they come down, they'll continue to be available as a part of the tileset packs on the regular store page download.

------

Okay-- I hope these are useful for you.

I'll be back on Monday with the next entry in the ongoing Summer of Monsters. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks!

This is a very good idea, I really like the Time Fantasy material, but the Time Elements coloration pleases me more, and its character creator is only for Time Elements, and much of the contents for Time Fantasy, has one We easily convert the colors of Time Fantasy monsters to the color palette of the Time Elements?

Maybe if you want to, but it's not realistic for me to do as a release because there's just too much TF stuff-- but mostly because so much of it is spread across so many weird releases and updates and patreon content, it's a mess 😝

Thank you SO much for doing this. Being able to use all of your resources together is so clutch. Side note. If using photoshop to automate, is it possible to go the other direction and convert TF tilesets to TE?

Joseph Parziale

Yup, Elements and the new TF recolor on the right side. Thanks!

The left side in the main screenshot is Elements, correct? Really love the saturation and contrast of the colours!

Thank you so much for doing this! Because they're now part of the Time Elements set, does that mean the prior restriction to RPG Maker only no-longer applies to the recoloured images?

Thanks for hard work.

That’s easier on the eyes/easier to make characters stand out. Will experiment when I get home. Thanks.
