Bat Animation Update
Added 2024-06-08 14:52:33 +0000 UTCHello! Sorry to bother you today, but I wanted to drop a really quick bonus update for ya.

I have a few additional frames of animation for the bat sprite that I shared earlier in the week.
I was working on programming in the next enemy for Monday, and in the process I was doing some improvements to the bat as well. I ended up getting a little sidetracked polishing up the bat... I realized that his little "wake up and unlatch" animation could be a smoother transition...
So here we go! This sheet mostly has the same animations, but with some additional frames onto the transition animation. You can see how it looks in the preview above (gameplay recording gif, ignore my mouse cursor 🤫).

Note: Since this was a quick bonus update and there's not really a clean way to set this up for RPGmaker, I just put the frames into a generic spritesheet-- you can arrange them however works best for your own project! (The blank spots in the sheet are filled in with color so that you can use them to help you align the frames).
------
That's all for now! Sorry again to bother you on a Saturday morning! As for me-- I'm off to play in a prelease for the new Magic The Gathering set 😝
I'll be back on Monday with the next entry in our SUMMER OF MONSTERS.
See you soon. Thanks!

Sanguine Calamus
2024-06-10 05:52:43 +0000 UTCI think they're in my animation effects pack. If not, then they're likely based on something from there and I edited them to look right for this project. I can probably release them here if there's interest in them.
