Rat Men Characters sheet

Hello! Last week I shared a bunch of base sprites for a new race of rat-men characters. Today I'm back with some new sprites that expand on those bases.

I put a lot of time into these guys. I had a full day available to dedicate to work, and I really wanted to make something worthwhile for a big release. Especially because this month is really sparse on content-- I took full advantage of this workday to fill out the set!

So I hope that this collection makes up for the lack of releases this month. I'm really happy with how they came out!

I think that these guys will be useful to a bunch of projects-- you can never have enough enemy variety, and these rat characters could fill a lot of roles in your game world. I like the idea of using them as leaders or bosses, and then last week's naked rat-men sprites would be used for generic minions.

There's four unique characters. Each character has two color variations-- creating eight characters to fill out the sheet. I've uploaded sheets both with and without the shadows.

I had one more idea with these guys-- I was thinking about making a "champion" for the rat clan, and then an SV battler for him.

That would bring this set more in line with the structure of the various tribes from the old Beast Tribes release (and potentially be released as a special update for that pack-- or maybe a standalone bonus mini-expansion?).

In other news-- this weekend will be a family barbecue for the memory of my stepfather. It's gonna be a lighthearted picnic party at my mom's house, instead of a formal funeral. He'd have wanted it that way.

Thanks for being so cool throughout the past few weeks of slower releases. As I type this, we still have a lot of work to do at my mom's house to prepare for this event (there's family flying in from other parts of the country, so of course my mom is stressed about making everything perfect-- I'll be replacing a leaky sink faucet or two within the next couple days 😅), so the extra time away from the computer is especially appreciated.

So now, after this weekend-- and after this month is over-- I'm expecting to be back to normal (at least in terms of work productivity).
