Steampunk Progress Preview

Hello! I have a little preview for you today!

Here is the progress on the upcoming Steampunk expansion that I've made over the past week and weekend. So far I have mostly basic terrain and some simple objects: some pipes and odd machinery...

This 'steam tech dungeon' set in particular is hitting the more detailed style of some of my more recent releases-- the tiles have evolved to be more reminiscent of the gritty and subtle tilesets from games like FF6 and Chrono Trigger. But it's not a big departure from the original Time Fantasy style, which was always detailed for pixel art, if not as smooth-- and this stuff will fit nicely with the original aesthetic.

I also have a lot of iron signposts and clocks, which you can see here:

A train station area. This set is designed to work with the Steam Train tileset that I released last year, which will be included in this expansion set. 

A bunch of these tiles (the barrels and the support beams) are simple modifications of tiles previously released: there's a huge overlap with the Future Fantasy set, particularly the factory tileset. Some of those tiles will be included as doubles in here, just to make things easier. But I want to avoid overlap when I can, so I'm going to try to avoid that as much as possible.

I still have a few major sets on my list to work on: airship, train car interiors, and of course animated gears and puffs of steam/smoke. I'm saving the animated stuff for last, since I'll base it off of the tiles when the sets are finished.

Because there's a lot of overlap with the Future Fantasy set-- it looks like this set won't need to be as big as I'd originally thought. If this ends up being a smaller expansion instead of a massive new world, then I'm hoping to finish it up in a week or two. We'll see... depends on how many more ideas I come up with while I'm working on it...
