Miner Sprites

My preview gif is pretty sloppy LOL-- I put it together quickly in RPG Maker.
-- but you should be able to see that these guys have two major variations. Their head-lights can be switched on and off! There's a small transparent effect for the lights when they are on.
I think that's cool and opens up some fun opportunities for your game world.
