2017 Wrap-up (with Bundle Download)

So 2017 is officially over! I started up this patreon page during the summer, and the growth has been incredible. This has really been a fantastic year. 

I can't thank you guys enough for all your support-- and not just the money, but for the "likes" and comments too. It means a lot to me that people enjoy the work that I do. I really love seeing the things that you create using my graphics.

2017 Patron Graphic Highlights

I want to look at some of the highlights from this year's patron releases. These are some of my personal favorites-- the pieces that I'm the most proud of, and/or have something cool to say.

(All of these highlighted graphics are included in the bundle linked at the end of the post.)

Tribal Shaman Warrior Sprites

These tribal characters are one of my favorite sets of the year. I just really like how colorful they are, and they provide some fun variety for exotic themed villages. These sprites were one of the first patron requests that really inspired me to push my graphics to the next level for you guys.

Witch Sprite and Tiles

I like this set because I can really imagine it being used in a game world. She has a unique animation in addition to her regular sprite, so she can be a memorable NPC. And with her own special tiles, her hut will be even more memorable. Perfect for a special potions shop-- maybe she can mix ingredients to make new potions. These kinds of graphics always give me fun ideas to use them in a game.

Underwater Tiles

These underwater tiles are interesting because of the way they would work with the base tiles: it would take a little creativity to get it to work perfectly-- a screen tint or something would need get the underwater effect. 

It's exactly the kind of challenge that got me interested in making my own graphics in the first place.

Minecart and Rails

This group of graphics is special because it reminds me of how useful your suggestions are: minecart rails is an RPG staple, and something that could have been included in the base set, but somehow I didn't think to make it at the time. 

There have been a bunch of smart requests from patrons so far-- inclusions that would make sense to flesh out the base tiles. I'm planning on working some of them into the Time Fantasy set for a future "ultimate" release. 

Windmill and Beacon Towers

Lastly, I want to highlight these sets because they make for a fantastic capstone to end a really productive year. The tower tileset-- with the animations for both the fire beacon and the windmill fan-- makes for a pretty epic setpiece in a game world; and overall I just think it came out looking really impressive! It's a pretty big set, and a strong one to end the year on a high.

I wouldn't have pushed myself to make all these graphics without the patron request threads. Thanks for your inspiring suggestions and I look forward to what you come up with in 2018!

Goal Reward Tilesets

Something else I want to highlight is the three special tilesets that I made this year. When we reached a goal, we had a special patron poll and you voted on what theme you wanted to see in a new tileset-- tilesets that I was able to release for free to the world. It's because of your support and your ideas that these tilesets were possible.

I'm looking forward to making more of these. The next goal we reach is the big one-- so whatever I make for it, it's going to have to be huge!

2017 Patron Graphics Bundle

Lastly, here's that massive bundle I promised. If you've been downloading everything as I released them, there's nothing new here. But if you might have missed something, or you're a new patron-- then it'll be a valuable resource to expand your Time Fantasy collection.
