Phonetics Lessons 15 and 25: Now updated with native recordings!
Added 2021-02-02 11:52:05 +0000 UTCGood evening Patrons!
I hope that this post finds you well. I just wanted to let everyone know that I've updated lessons 15 and 25 with high-quality native recordings. As a reminder, lesson 15 addresses pitch-accent for the さ form of な-adjectives, while lesson 25 begins to explore sentence-level pitch-accent.
As usual, if anyone has any questions or concerns with regards to this post, feel free to leave a comment below!
Thank you for your continued support, and good luck with your future Japanese studies!

Hi Max! I assume you're talking about in the instances in which I give both the terraced and non-terraced pronunciations, which isn't terribly often, but for these instances I think it's probably best to go with terraced, as terraced is, in most cases, closer to everyday speech. Cheers!

But I’m not sure whether to use the terraced pronunciations or the more exaggerated versions for the words/phrases. Would you recommend using one over the other, or does it not really matter?
