Hey everyone, Hearthswariming Heat is finally out to the public! We have made some awesome additions to this version, including several language options as well as including some voices from 15.ai!

15.ai Voices

We have added 164 unique voice lines generated using 15.ai, the amazing AI-powered voice generation tool. These voices really add a lot to the game, so you should really check them out even if you've already played Hearthswarming Heat!

Upcoming Translations:

The translations are only for the dialogue, unfortunately translating the menus was a bit out of scope. If there is demand we may go back and translate them though. If you notice any issues with the translation, feel free to let us know via the feedback form.

If you send an email to Scion@studiowhy.net with your Discord handle (if you have one) I may be able to help you troubleshoot this issue. Unfortunately, I have not heard of this issue before and can not seem to replicate it. At this point I would suggest extracting the game on another computer entirely and transferring the game, if possible.

StudioWhy

I have tried on another computer with antivirus on and seem to have no issue, I don't know why but it seems one of my computers has some sort of bug in it.

Gamer 9999

Number 3 is the main issue, the extraction process is being hindered, no zip extraction program is succeeding in extracting that file successfully. Malwarebytes has not flagged the download at all and has not make any attempt to flag, and worse MEGA could not download that one file because of a writing error according to it. I have downloaded the compressed files with no issue but as soon as i extract that one file it just tries then after 4GB it fails.

Gamer 9999

Try this: 1. Disable antivirus (some software flags Unity projects incorrectly). 2. Download game. 3. Extract Game. If that doesn't work, try downloading the uncompressed file after disabling antivirus.

StudioWhy

Tried and the extraction says the file has Error 0x80004005:unspecified error. and every time I try again it pops up, and if I skip it only keeps some of its data. which makes the sprites appear and disappear again, in one case it made the head of a sprite disappear.

Gamer 9999

Temporarily disabling it before extraction does nothing?

StudioWhy

I have anti-virus but it is not reacting to it at all.

Gamer 9999

Do you have an antivirus program blocking the file?

StudioWhy

there is 32 GB of installed RAM on my pc. it is a gaming pc

Gamer 9999

Does your computer have less than 4 GB of RAM? You might need to enable a page file in that case. Check your memory usage while trying to extract that file.

StudioWhy

used the link and it gives me a writing error and does not finish, I am sorry but it seems that one file hates my computer.

Gamer 9999

I looked into it some more. The uncompressed file is legitimately that big. unfortunately. I was thinking of the size of the zip file earlier. There are a lot of assets. I am guessing that your computer was running out of memory trying to extract that file. Here is a direct link to the uncompressed file: https://mega.nz/file/VlhXhSIL#_DYRkfBgshs7DChoYXifvHGQyD5Eu93A0EpN_IFd8kA

StudioWhy

sorry same problem, this time it registered resources.assets.resS as an unknown error being as big as 4.67GB I don't know why it happens. Update: it is working but I had to remove resources.assets.resS i don't know what it is used for but seems to work without it. hope this can help you identify what happened. Update 2: seems that file has all the pictures for the game so I can read the story but will not see what happens.

When you right click on a zip file you should see the 'Extract All' option. This uses the default zip / unzip tool provided by windows. The extracted folder should only be around 300-something MB. Another option should be to double click on the zip file to open it, then you can copy everything in the open zip file to an unzipped folder.

StudioWhy

what default? 7 zip had to be installed to extract zipfiles since I had no zip extract programs. I get an error from the 7zip that says "can not set length for output file, there is not enough space in XXX address." then it stops and forces me to close it since it won't extract anymore. also, I redownloaded it about 7 times on both links. Just wanted to add that this error seems to make a 283MB file into a 4GB file.

Gamer 9999

I can't seem to replicate the issue Try redownloading it, or try extracting with the default windows program (shouldn't be different but worth a shot).

StudioWhy

I am using windows and have used 7zip to extract it and there is a file that seems to never stop extracting which is making an error that my 1tb does not have enough memory.

Gamer 9999

Is this on Windows, Mac, or Linux? For Mac, you need to use a 3rd party to like the unarchiver.

StudioWhy

I tried to extract the files but it seems that there was some that are corrupt because I can not extract all the files so I can open Heatswarming heat. if you can help that would be appreciated.

Gamer 9999

Sure, send an email to: Scion@StudioWhy.net

In summer I can try to make Czech translation, if you wanted to.

FapMage

Cryghast

Interesting I just tried the 1.0 version and it actually has the same problem. Well whatever this problem is I hope you can figure out what exactly it is and I am willing to be your guinea pig in seeing if it'll work.

Austin Hanson

No it Still did not work it still showed the same problem. I’m going to download the 1.0 version since I never downloaded that version and see if it’s the same problem with that one.

Austin Hanson

I re-exported and uploaded it. Can you try this version?

StudioWhy

nope didn't work. will download the windows version to try that one instead

Austin Hanson

That's typical Mac behavior. Try right click and then 'Open' instead of double-clicking. If that does not work, try this: https://superuser.com/questions/1643995/how-to-fix-you-dont-have-permission-to-open-the-application-on-mac

StudioWhy

I tried To open it up on my Mac but apparently it says you do not have permission to open the application contact your computer or networking minute straighter for assistance. I am the administrator and this is an administrator account.… WTF?!
