Riven is my all-time favorite game. There's a modern engine for it made for Mac called Riven X. There's a remake of it in the works for realtime 3D as well.

For the love of all that is holy, EXPLAIN the bonding boxes and the color changes in them because that has been seriously bugging the f*ck out of me for over 20 years. Every time I see it, I yell at the television and complain loudly to my gf 😅

I worked at an Apple reseller in Sunnyvale CA during “The Myst-mas Season”. That game sold more expensive full Mac setups that holiday ... it was madness. And written in HyperCard!

This game haunted my childhood. I would always see my older brothers playing it and had no idea what was going on but I have vivid memories of these islands. I finally played it at the beginning of quarantine and it was just as mesmerizing as I remembered.
