I really liked the fishing analogy. I just listened through So Good They Can't Ignore You this weekend, so that really brought home the main points for me.

To me, the glass is half full if I'm filling it; half empty if I'm drinking from it. If it's just sitting there, it's most likely half empty. The chances of it being filled gradually is less likely than the opposite.
