Their cover of Elvis Costello’s “Watching The Detectives” is so unbelievably good tho. And I’m pretty sure Lou Reed said their version of “Perfect Day” is his favorite cover of the song. So, I guess I take the bad in with the good with that record.

2023-05-04 02:55:47 +0000 UTCI’d quibble about Third Eye Blind being “mom rock”, at least at the time. I’m a child of the 90s and having a hard time imagining my mom singing along to, say, “Slow Motion.” (I used to listen to that and feel unspeakably subversive.)

2023-05-03 02:00:19 +0000 UTCI would love to see a video on Duran Duran's infamous 90's cover album Thank You, where they cover Public Enemy and Grandmaster Flash. That album is probably the reason why they stopped having hits after Ordinary World.
