Twin Cities event heads-up!
Added 2024-03-28 13:49:45 +0000 UTCIt looks like we finally have an event dialed in for my Twin Cities visit, for Friday April 12. I had a call yesterday with the folks from Our Streets, streets.mn, the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, and Anthony Taylor, the mastermind behind Slow Roll MSP. (Google it if you don't know what it is.) Anthony has generously offered the use of his space at Venture Bikes (across from Midtown Market on the Midtown Greenway) for a meetup, food, and an extremely cool mega Slow Roll ride around central Minneapolis.
An Eventbrite will open up later today (or maybe it already has???) -- I'll try to come back here and post the URL, but the QR code in the poster here should work. They're asking for a donation to cover expenses for staffing, etc., but I'm doing it for free....just FYI.
Anyway, only publicizing here for now because I want patrons to get first dibs. Only 200 or so spots available. Happy Thursday!

2024-03-28 19:38:22 +0000 UTCSince the Lake Wobegon trail doesn't go all the way from Saint Cloud to downtown Mpls, I suppose I'll have to load the bike in the car and drive there. Anyway, got a ticket for the event. Hopefully there won't be any surprise April snowstorms. We just had a heavy snow event this weekend after what's been probably the mildest winter we've ever had.
