ONE HIT WONDERLAND: "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" by Rick Derringer

Ugh... let's try this again. I've spent the last two hours trying to figure what the glitch was that made the first upload foul up but I think I've got it... sorry everyone who saw the first bugged-up version

I'll take the All American Boy cover over Kenny Loggins' Keep the Fire cover any day.

It wasn't just Rick Derringer who got involved with religion. Edgar Winter is a Scientologist, to the point where he produced and arranged L. Ron Hubbard's Mission Earth album.

Grace

Wow. I never heard of this dude, got super pumped about his career then got real sad with the end.

Petty Officer No Class

In my country it has gotten into public memory again through a hard rock cover version Die Toten Hosen did in 2009.

I love these music history-laden episodes. There's so much to learn :D

I sing Hang on Sloopy to my cat. I have no idea why.

Deanna Banana

Dafuq! Didn't want to believe it. Just looked it up. Billy, why?

Maybe when Todd runs out of one-hit wonders, he could do a series on two-hit wonders.

Kellie Green

Yeah, I was told they technically had a second hit in the U.S., but A) I never ever heard that one until a few months ago and B) It sucks big time IMO. And what else but my own opinion could possibly be relevant?

Todd, if you ever cover Two Princes by Spin Doctors in this series, I can die (relatively) happy.

I was hoping you'd eventually get to this one, Todd. And here's a little tidbit for you: that guy in the gold shirt playing bass in the "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" clip is Dan Hartman of "I Can Dream About You" fame.

Kellie Green

Why does Alex Jones attract so many great rockers?! First Billy Corgan, now this guy.... This really sucks

It's working now!
