#10 (Coldplay): I can see why Todd doesn't like early Coldplay, but I have fond memories of that music. That said, I distinctly remember hearing 'Viva La Vida' in 2007 and being really damn excited that Coldplay released a song with some life to it. This song, OTOH? Eh, it's OK. #9 (Queen Bey): Fuck yeah, this song owns, as does pretty much all of LEMONADE. I know some people might be put off due to the overhype, but the album is, in fact, That Good. Also, Todd: 'good hair' is a very specifically African-American concept. It's about how kinkier / curlier hair is discriminated against compared to straighter locks. Genius.com, bro: use it. #8 (Drake): Fuck yes I'm getting sick of Drake, and I don't even get him shoved in my face all the damn time. This song? Whatever. #7 (DNCE): ... Oh, so this is on here because of Todd's abiding love for Uptown Funk. OK, w/e. #6 (Adele): I hope more of the better songs from that album become hits, but in the meanwhile at least this got on the list. Emotionally Mature Adele is a good Adele.

1) I guess I'd only ever heard the radio edit version of "Cake by the Ocean," and I like having some of my guilty love for it validated. 2) I too felt old by the age of 17 (though my favorite song on that album is probably "River Lea")
