Patreon July Update
Added 2022-06-30 17:15:41 +0000 UTCHey y’all!
Wanted to share an update on how I’m doing and what’s up with work this month. Unfortunately, COVID kinda kicked my ass and then logs got very busy with other stuff (my sister is getting married this weekend!), so I’ve been a bit late on getting the June patreon video out- but rest assured I’m still working on it! You’ll just get two Patreon videos this month instead of one. Sorry for the delay!
Otherwise, things are doing well on my end. Emily and I have several ideas we’re developing, and I’m excited to get those out for you!
It’s still July, but I wanted to give y’all a heads up that sometime around October or November, I’m probably going to try and take a few (2-3) months off to just write and recuperate. At risk of getting too personal, stuff has really ramped up in my personal life, especially with regards to grad school, and I’ve started feeling the effects of burnout seeping in. Getting COVID and having to take this month off really made it clear to me that I’ve been working at a very fast pace, and I think after a few months of already scheduled/planned videos, I want to really take the time to 1) rest up a little bit, and 2) come up with some quality scripts. The last thing I would want to do is run out of ideas and release a video I don’t feel great about, or that feels “phoned in”, out of obligation. I think taking some time will help me and help ensure these videos are the best they can be. Of course, if anyone would like to pause/cancel their membership over that time, that’s completely understandable and I’ll give you lots of advance notice.
But that’s not until late fall/early winter, and I’ve got lots planned before then! For now, expect two Patreon videos this month, as well as a regular-length video at the end of the month. Thank you for the support and have a wonderful summer!

On the off chance you haven't seen it, Bit (2019) fits your recommendation request neatly.

2022-07-25 06:07:55 +0000 UTCI hope you rest up sooner than later. Your long-term health is way more important than Patreon videos.
2022-07-01 17:06:24 +0000 UTCtake the time. take it now if you’re starting to feel burned out honestly (if you want to). my doctor always told me that pain/exhaustion/burnout are worse the longer you leave them untested because like a fire, they can get out of control pretty quick. he told me this regarding period pain like 15 years ago lmao but added that it applies to a lot of things and it always stuck with me. and for what’s it’s worth I won’t be dropping my pledge congrats on the wedding and the new in law, I hope you all have a good time! and looking forward to whatever new stuff you and emily put together

2022-07-01 07:15:33 +0000 UTCExhaustion from COVID can linger for a super long time after you're negative. I was basically asleep for two weeks after and the third and fourth week were pretty bad too. So don't push yourself, you're probably still under the weather
