PRINCESS HIBANA IS NOT MY CUP OF TEA | FIRE FORCE EPISODE 4-5 REACTION

You guys I am really torn on this series. I love the characters and the interactions but I do not feel like I am connecting to the story. Am I the only one who felt this way at this point? I do feel that since I did go on a hiatus with this series that may have affected my mind frame a bit. Anyways this Princess Hibana is a hot mess. It do seem like she and Iris have a troubled past and that it could've affected her in a way. That is just me assuming though. But we shall see what these next batch of episodes bring.

PRINCESS HIBANA IS NOT MY CUP OF TEA | FIRE FORCE EPISODE 4-5 REACTION

Comments

I'm deep into the second season. If you can hang past this season, you won't regret it. Will answer a lot more questions.

Thee Ex Factor

i think its a very unique and interesting show and was wondering when id get to see these episodes with u, thought probably never and id eventually watch it my own, its far from my top fave list or ratings but its still up there up and down from 3-4 out of 5, there's a lot of similarities with pace and mystery with this and god of highschool. i think uve noticed but it just didn't click yet. the fights were what kept u hooked along with being more equal answers as much as questions and the characters being so amazing for who they are. u commented in hindsight about how it was great but now it was getting rly good. sounds like fire force is the same but starts off with a lower rating and slower than goh. :)

Personally I give it to episode 8 and glad I did so it's get better for me, and season 2 it pick up even more.

Demarco

Later in season 1 and in season2 things pick up.

Tom

Personally I think the series is a little bit above mediocre in my opinion. The fighting gets better through the series though but that's just it ; to be fair I haven't read the manga I wasn't really compelled to.

Michael Wong

Its connection to Soul Eater in the latter parts are what's been keeping me hook. I will not deny its not all that interesting in the beginning but when they start getting into the meat of the story+Soul Eater connection later on I started to really like the series.

David Palacios

I haven’t seen it or read it, but I am of the opinion that you shouldn’t power through something you don’t enjoy. If you would like to drop it after giving it a fair chance do so. You could then make room for something you may enjoy more. I am sure the rest of gang will understand.

Zonum

Yea I felt the same way as everyone else here. I ended up dropping it because the pacing of the show was kinda weird but I continued it again because another reactor I followed starting watching the show. In the end, I grew to really like the show and stuck around till the end 😁

butterscotchwaffles

It definitely took several episodes to really get interesting for me. I was teetering on the edge of dropping it for a while but I am so happy that I didn't because it just gets better and better after this point. I think the only reason I didn't drop it after 3 episodes was because the guy who voices Shinra also does Asta from Black Clover and the guy who voices Cabtain Obi does Zoro from One Piece so I felt like with those two it had to go somewhere. The beginning is so different that it feels very confusing and mildly off-putting but they do start to gradually build up the world a bit so it starts to make a lot more sense.

Resticon

Allona, like some other people said, I was kinda iffy about the first 5-10 episodes or so. I liked the animation and fight scenes, but i didn't really vibe with it. But afterwards I felt like it started to click and got better and better. Also didnt help that I was watching it around the same time as Vinland Saga and Demon Slayer lol.

Kuro Shishio

Wait wait wait wait, since when have you started fire force? I don't remember ever seeing you watch this show before

KillerB

Having been caught up with the manga i'll say i'm still pretty lukewarm on the series as a whole. Some of the fights are cool and their is some nice bouts of animation in there but I would never consider it to be a 'must watch'. If you want to drop it or simply watch it in your own time that would be totally cool for me. So much amazing anime out there you shouldn't settle for something you're on the fence about and try and find something that really resonates with you!

Drenawx

Fire Force is cool, but its not a top tier anime by any stretch of the imagination....now if you wanted to replace it with Re Zero...that's something I can totally get behind.

therightscript

just stick with the show, it gets much better once things start picking up.

Webster91

I'm going to give it a chance. At first I thought it was just me.

Allona Roberson

I dropped it around episode 7

Ryan H

I only really got into the story at the start of season 2 and only really stuck with the 1st for the animation, I think for most people though the second half of season 1 is where it picks up.

Josh Buckley

Firce Force felt really off for me. The story was all over the place and later on when the villains are introduced, them and their motivation for what they were doing was beyond dumb and I ended up dropping it, not looking back. The animation was absolutely amazing though

Nexs

I also felt the exact same way as you when I first started watching this show last year. I got to about episode 9 before I decided to drop it. However, right before Season 2 started this year, my nephew persuaded me to give it another try and I ended up loving it after I got over my initial impressions and issues. In my opinion, Fire Force is the type of series that has to grow on you.

Arielle Coley

Fire Force is a really bizarre shounen, it doesn't really feel like the others like One Piece or Naruto. the story feels weird, but I don't think it actually starts to pick up around episode 8 imo.

Vericho

The thing is I felt the same way you did cause to me the beginning of the series felt all over the place and I didn’t even know what the objective was and I felt like dropping it multiple times. But I can for sure say after forcing myself to continue watching it, it gets 10x better later down the season. In the end it is up to you on whether to continue or to just stop.

Zhyber

I don’t blame you, the first half of the series was very here and there, but keep going and see how you feel
