The art style is VERY different than the previous parts but I think it will grow on me as I continue watching. I can say that with this art style I don't know if I like how Lil Jo's features are softer than Part 3. It makes him look way younger. But again I know that with time I will get used to it.

Part 4 is a bit slower paced than part 3. It is to prepare you for the storms that are parts 5 and 6.

For example, we have part 4 Jotaro interactions with part 3 characters, and it's both amazing and sad at the same time. "Long time no see, Kakyoin". "Jotaro, are you in your late 20s now?" "I knew you'd be able to recognise me, Kakyoin". Joseph: looks like the years have calmed you down a bit. Jotaro: Pfft. Some talk from a guy who had the nerve to cheat on his wife at the age of 62. "Ten years from now on... I wonder if I'll still be alive". "In 10 years you'll be a shadow of your former self". I believe that Dio was actually using Jonathan’s Stand which would explain why Jotaro’s Stand can stop time and Josuke’s Stand looks similar to Dio’s. They even show Dio using “Hermit Purple” in one of the episodes. Joseph and Holly’s Stands also have similarities. Like I said, I could be reaching but it all makes sense to me.

Or I guess it would be appropriate to say the author's change in style, because that's what it looks like in the manga during this period. Over time, artists' drawing styles change, but the nature of anime means picking and choosing when/where to adapt to that slowly evolving look. It's still the same production house (Luckyland), so without a doubt this was a deliberate decision. But yes, seeing Jotaro look older when he was younger, and younger when he's older is something everyone coped with lol. Feel free to watch the opening, there's nothing too spoilery other than character looks.

I say you can watch the intro it's just character designs and stuff it's not like One Piece intros lol.
