canon. you can tell me you're used to fillers and what not, but if the overly padded Luffy vs Bellamy in Dressrosa irritated you, nevermind how the folks here much preferred the edited down Reverie Arc, the fillers and padding can drag your mood down about the series. i definitely stopped watching the anime weekly because of it, and just watched episodes sporadically, focusing on ones that highlights my favourite scenes in the manga. yeah, that may mean you wouldn't be reacting to OP for weeks if there's a filler arc, and that's not a good thing for your patrons, but it does help to clear up your schedule for other series you may not had seen yet, including from previous years. i reckon you've taken notes now with OP, as reminders, but you could take it real slow reading up the manga from the beginning up to the Reverie, on your own as a refresher as you wait for the story to progress in the anime.
