vids update: I have a few longer projects in the works, but they were taking a while & i was feeling bad about not having put out a vid in a while, so i swapped to this one, which i convinced myself i could finish quickly. surprisingly it turned out to be longer and more complicated than i initially planned. this happens with every single project but is always a surprise somehow

I definitely gained a lot of empathy and understanding for people who need captions for accessibility reasons now that I have a sleeping night-shift wife that I don't wanna wake up. Not that I didn't think they were important before, but it brought it into perspective. (I do love the auto-cap uhhhhhh editorializing though)

And to be clear, I do think the whole video is really really good; as a trans girl, I’d say you’re consistently the main cis YouTuber who I think actually understands this shit and cuts through the bullshit and I appreciate that. But, yeah, with my auditory processing it can just be pretty difficult for me (even with auto captions), and so I’d really appreciate it. I understand it takes extra time and effort, and that’s totally fair. But fwiw, I’d be willing to pay more and wait a little longer for this, esp bc there’s ppl I know who would like your videos but have even more difficulty accessing them than I do.

I wonder if it's worth briefly clarifying your use of the term "gender critical" in this video a little further because it comes up so frequently; you nod towards disapproving of it in the beginning, but I think an explicit statement about why you've chosen to use it. I sense that it's because it zooms in on a particular type of transphobe and that "gender critical" is a more widely understood term even if it can come across as euphemistic and more forgiving of these transphobes, but putting myself in the shoes of someone who isn't already familiar with this topic that might not be absolutely clear. Even without that clarification, your video still condemns the actions of transphobes that I'm sure nobody would be uncertain as to your personal position, it is just a very minor point that I thought could be worthwhile to point out.
