Today I am going to talk about another topic and that is animations.

I'm going to show you how long it takes to create a small animation of a few seconds.

To show you this example, it took me several days to develop it and more than 3 hours to render it.

But apart from that I usually have to repeat it 2 or 3 or more times to find errors. So the 3 hours of rendering is multiplied by the number of repetitions needed. Repeat 3 times * 3 h = more than 9h of rendering and computer and energy consumption.

Hey Reidlo! but there are games that have a lot of animations. Yes, indeed, many games use ready-made animations that are ‘sold’ as assets.

Why is that? Because they don't know how to animate or because they are too lazy or too much work.

And why doesn't Reidlo do it like the others?

Because those animations usually use far away camera perspectives so that you can't see the flaws, let alone the details. Neither the folds of the pussy, nor an endless number of details that would be impossible due to the large number of characters with different anatomies.

Conclusion a tedious work but that gives a very big plus of realism.

That said, the work is not complete and it is necessary to pass it through different programs to regulate the speed of movement so that it has a normal behaviour and not robotic and also to add the sound effects so that they fit with the movements.

I was asked for an update on Sofia and all I got was a lot of cancellations and the worst entry of patrons in a long time.

Obviously this message is not directed to my patrons but to inform about how everything works.
