'tis done... make all the 'overdue' jokes you want...! go ahead, i wont stop you... postin' this one for all the tiers just as a freebie for everyone's patience... regardless, thank you all for waitin out my brain problems... audio update forthcoming. will prolly do a pants-less version for the real birth-y freaks out there eventually as well. after surviving this project it's back to our regularly scheduled weird stuff, millie animation comin at the end of the month. see you...... then. *splits in half and walks in separate directions*

Ultimately I'm hesitant to do that because I don't want 2nd place winners to basically end up with 'nothing', as it might breed a lot of negativity around the polls if your fav choice makes it all the way to the end just to miss an animation chance by 1 place. Keep in mind as well, a big factor for this particular Samus animation's delays weren't really so much workload, but rather stress related to other things going with me IRL! I do hear you though, and I'll consider what you've said! But I actually think long-term the solution is more me being careful not to pick overly-long projects, as well as just taking occasional planned breaks with sketch-only months. We will see though!

2022-01-28 14:10:08 +0000 UTCI've thought similarly for a while now too. More of your main animations have become more intricate, detailed, and are starting to include voice work. That's a lot for just one project. I think it might be time to have only 1 animation per month. Make 2nd place another guaranteed sketch or maybe it can be a fully rendered pic. Either way, doing away with a 2nd animation should hopefully lessen the monthly grind while also letting you experiment more.

Your ability to make something perverse but still keep it lighthearted is something a lot of artists could learn from. Please don't burn yourself out though - you're only one person, after all!

Given the fidelity these animations have reached, it kind of seems like two a month is getting to be too much. Maybe it's an issue of time management, but personally I'm more inclined to think that, with the insane degree of fidelity these animations have nowadays, it might just be too much work in general. Maybe a restructuring is in order sometime in the future? I don't really have any concrete answers for this, but I figured I should bring it up, because I really feel like you've been overworking yourself a lot over the past year.
