Let's see what we got so far for the next version.

With this version, I wanted to introduce some lore to the game. Don't expect much, it will still not be a story-based game, but at least there is some background information. With that said, I have made a little intro to the start of the game. It is completely skippable so it won't bother you each time you want to start a new game.

Also from now on the tutorial will be optional. After the intro, a tutorial prompt will ask you if you want to play it or not.

I have also made a little system for readable stuff like books and notes. With this, I want to add additional information to the game about the world and the enemies. I will also probably use this system for puzzles as well in the future. (No, this exact book won't be in the game, sorry.)

I heard a lot of people having troubles in the first area of the game. It is definitely a little unpolished so I felt it could use some improvement since this is the first area a new player experiences and the first impressions are really important. I have made several changes to the first area of the game and I also added a little cutscene to the very first succubus encounter. Back when I first released this game I did not have the skill to make cutscenes.

I have also added an optional switch before the grey-haired succubus chase scene that will make the chase scene easier, by halving the number of rope traps in your way. This is completely optional and is for people who struggle to get through that scene.

I also wanted to improve the overall feel of the game. This made me rework the MC's walking animation. He learnt how to actually run. This only affects his animations, not his actual speed.

The game's camera is about 20% more zoomed out. This hopefully isn't too much but is enough for people who felt it was way too zoomed in. I think it's a nice balance.

Added new tiles for the new area. This will also be similar to the dungeon area we had before, but it will be smaller than that. And in this new area, there will be a new kind of trap! And those are the...

Slime traps! When the MC steps into them he will be severely slowed and will be unable to jump. These traps will be combined with a new slow-moving blind enemy.

Aaaaand that is all for now. I still need to add a new scene to this version and then the maps themselves. Other than that, I'm mostly done with the programming and art part, now I just have to put everything together. Hopefully, I can release it sometime next week.
