End of December Progress Report

Hey everybody! Happy new year, I hope that 2023 brings you all that you dream of! Unless you dream of spiders. Double unless you actually LIKE spiders.. in which case, I hope 2023 does bring you those! ANYWAY, here is the end of year progress report to fill you in on how things have been going with Baby Maker!

Accident system: I have been expanding the accident system, so that it covers messy accidents in panties (see photo!), and doesn't bug out from wet ones. You may have noticed that I usually prioritize working on diaper scenes, but I am doing my best to catch up on more omorashi and potty training content, so that you can have fun with Kiera in panties and pull-ups, too. I have also started integrating the potty chart into the potty system, so that it updates when Kiera goes potty or gets her bottom changed (and of course, adding dynamic interactions with the potty chart where she celebrates/laments her progress!).

Trait interactions: Still plodding away on adding more trait interactions! I've been having some fun with abdl interactions lately, allowing Kiera to be less pouty and fussy about being in diapers, and being shyly happy about it instead. :) Making a bit of progress on the "Friendly" branches too, since Kiera is mostly a bit of a brat at the moment, and I'd like your first trait pick to have more of an impact on gameplay.

Swimming: I've been working on sprites and scenes for a new location- the pool! (See photo) This will be a new location in the next update (and not just the buggy map that traps you that you may have stumbled into by accident.. whoops!). The pool features a new outfit for Kiera- her swimsuit and waterwings! This outfit won't be nearly as much work as the others, since it's limited to being worn in the pool (at least for now), and thus has much fewer scenes to worry about. It's actually got me musing about how using location-specific outfits could be a good way to allow more outfits, without it eating up too much dev time!

Save System: After a bit more tinkering, a basic save system is now working! So far it can track your outfit, undies, player location, timers, and where you're at in the plot. TBH, I think this is similar to what it did when I had originally released a save system.. but it's seeming much less buggy now after some refactoring. It's not yet tracking everything to do with traits, skills, adventures, etc, but I know how to get it fully working... Just need to find the time to get it all together! BUT whether I get the whole save system finished or not, I will at minimum release a rudimentary save system for the April update (allowing you to save outfits, timers, and plot points)! :)

Mini RPG: I have continued working on this since the last report. Have lots of ideas for this, based on trait picks and outfits.. Scaredy vs Brave.. Knight vs Princess.. This might be one part of the game where I prioritize working on dress-wearing content above overalls, since writing scenes for a scaredy Princess on an RPG quest is just too fun :P

Layout Bugfixin': Okay I don't usually talk about stuff like this because it maybe isn't very exciting.. but it is for me! Have you ever reached a point of having so many adventures that they start to get squished together on your screen? Well, no more! I've figured out how to make the adventures menu expand into the scrollable content, so that new adventures never get squashed. Same will apply to the Training menu too. QoL fixes are always a good time!

File size: I realized that including .git files in the uploaded version adds a TON of file size. So I'll be removing those files from uploaded zips. Thus the next update will be markedly smaller and less of a hassle to download :) (I just checked and it's literally 69.0 MB... nice)
