I wanted the girls in my render - for lack of better a word - "pop out", which was why I often rendered my works in vertical (2:3) where the girls usually filled the entire frame. This also means that I didn't have to spend too much time building the scenery / background because only little of it will be visible in final result. But I heard you. I'll try to render in wallpaper format more often in the future (2560px1440p).
