FeMail WIPs and behind the scenes talk

My next big project is a comic titled FeMail. If you're interested I'll tell you where my head's at on this project below. If you're not, enjoy the sketches and you can check out FeMail when it gets posted sometime this summer.

The title is a play on Iron Man (Fe for Iron, Mail for armor, but also Female and the alchemical symbol for Iron is the male symbol, you get it. hahaha i'm so clever). I won't spoil the concept too much, but it's a bit more than just a knock off of Iron Man. Think Iron Man mixed with Wonder Woman mixed with Green Lantern, all wrapped up in a TGTF story with some embarrassment kink sprinkled in. Long story short: Man goes in the armor, armor makes him very girly-looking, man doesn't want to be seen as such, man makes more trouble for himself than it's worth. 

Anyways, these are a few preliminary sketches where I'm working out what FeMail's deal is. 

• 1. FeMail already showed up in Lair of the Hypno-Sis as one of the Virtue Force blowjob robots. That means I couldn't deviate from the design too much. Any redesign I did would have to be subtle. Still need to figure out how to visually design the 'henshin' moment though.
• 2. If you've been following me for long enough, you know I love a good auto-closet scenario. Well here I had a character perfectly fit for the trope, and what's better is he's wearing the auto-closet. It was too good to pass up.
• 3. This is an early cover sketch concept that I liked, which actually informed the way the story turned out. Again, no major spoilers, but FeMail comes into contact with an alien suitor who only sees him for his looks. This cover sets the tone of him being forced into dealing with this jerk by circumstance.

I want to make sure the balance is right on this comic. I'm going for a comedy of errors where misunderstandings lead to bigger and bigger trouble. That way the embarrassment kink can go on uninterrupted. If it's too far in one direction it becomes a dumby plot and everything could just be solved by having a frank conversation, which is no good.

These are my thoughts on FeMail at the moment. Let me know if you like this kind of behind the scenes stuff. I usually just post Work in Progress sketches and hope you get it.
